"It was stark & basic accommodation with second hand furniture. The bed was squeaky. There was no tea towel to dry the very few items of crockery so used the apron instead. The thing it has going for it is the location, close to amenities, city etc. There is room for a wardrobe and full length mirror as well as hooks on the wall which it needs. Not worth the price charged. "

"So peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend staying here in the fall to watch the big tree across the street blaze with autumn colors. Could have stayed here another week easily. Would absolutely return!"

A few things we'd ( and future guests maybe ) find useful- a clothes horse as it's often raining and more pegs for clothesline. Long handled dustpan and broom to sweep the floors. The bedding itself was comfortable.However, the property is misrepresented as modern and luxurious; it is superficially renovated and clearly dated in its fittings and overall standard.The bath/shower (over a narrow, sloping bath) was a serious safety concern, particularly for older guests—my husband nearly slipped.
