"The deck needs some attention, the fireplace was so great. We made use of the kayak and paddle boat. Love the lake. My wife and I walked down to it at night and sat on the bench for a while."

"We had a great time at the cabin enjoying hiking and kayaking at the state park. Everything worked perfectly, allowing us to relax together. The WiFi signal supported our phones and laptops, which was great because I had to finish a project after I arrived. I would definitely come back!"

"The property is on Wheeler Lake, which is a great lake for fishing and watersports. There's a sandy public beach nearby that you can visit for $5 per person, and the boat launch is fairly close. Lakewood is five minutes away. The cottage is older, but has been nicely remodeled with two newer bathrooms, a modern kitchen and numerous other updates. "This little cabin was exceptionally clean, very inviting and well appointed. The temperpedic beds were a nice and a comfortable surprise - cozy, as they are full size mattresses. Very quiet surroundings. This is a perfect place for rest, reading and relaxation."

"The cabin was just adorable and the owner was gracious enough to provide a welcome basket of goodies and supplies. The only problem we encountered, which was absolutely not a huge deal for us, was that the WiFi password was not provided. We possibly located it but what we found did not work for any of the available networks. Again not a deal breaker but if this is important to you make sure to discuss before booking. Also to be noted, the cabin is VERY VERY secluded. Being a woman with 2 small...

"We had a nice stay over Memorial Day weekend. Check in was easy. The cabin is clean, well cared for, and has everything you could need for a short stay. It is conveniently located next to Lakewood, which has plenty of shops, restaurants, and golfing. Although it’s in a little neighborhood the property does feel private, with lots of trees and shade. Would definitely go back!!"

"Everything about this place is amazing. It is the definition of Northwoods and has a fantastic history behind it. We really enjoyed the small perks that it came with, toiletries that may have been forgotten, first aid equipment, baking supplies, games and movies. The TV was a little difficult to figure out, as someone who doesn't use cable. We are definitely making plans to come back in the future."
