Easy checkin communication great. On 6th floor of bldg with elevator. Apt is large & roomy despite other rooms being locked as it was just hubby & I.Train station about 15-20 min walk. Easy access to Sorrento though crowded no AC. Stood every time. tiring Beach chair/umbrella rental 35 euro reasonable. Mamma Mia pizza/food excellent! Air cond only in BR but good breezes. Market closeby 10 min walk. Apt has most things you need Bath: nice bathroom shower good water pressure & hot water. Ran out of toilet paper by end of week.No washcloths to bathe with!Bedroom; Mattress comfortable. Extra blankets in chest but no extra pillows which hubby could’ve used for his back!Balcony is small, furniture uncomfortable to sit for long time. Nice view though! Could have used washer for laundry but rooms locked & didnt want to bother hostOne set of towels per person for 1 week. Very ample sized towels. Kit: Not too many utensils in kit, & some pans very used. We found a nightlight for the BR & fan for kit.Could use: scissors, couch or comfortable armchairs to use as there is no place to sit & relax inside except kitchen & chairs & are uncomfortable. Small things to consider. For price was very good spot felt safe there. Thank you Vittorio

A perfect holiday

We had a fantastic time in a super appartment with an amazing view over the Gulf of Naples and beautiful sunsets.Castellammare is not a touristic hotspot but the real south italy. You can reach the main sights very easily even with public transport. You can reach the beach in less than 5 minutes by walking.

A view to did for

The view is stupendous. The apartment is on the 6th floor and very spacious and modern. The lift was very reliable. The front balcony spans both bedrooms. About 1.2kM walk to one train station and 0.5 kM to the other and about 0.8 to a third. Different trains stop at each and two of the stations have the same name, so very easy to get confused. More towels would be helpful.

Vittoria was great

The apartment was large with great views. Vittorio made check in easy with videos and he provided a lot of help. Perfect location to see Pompeii, Naples and the Amalfi coast. The walk along the water is lovely. And there is a market very close for fresh vegetables. Would stay again.

Great place and great city

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is a short walk from a number of cafe bars and restaurants, but if you walk into the centre of town (15 mins) there are many more options. Vittorio has lots of great suggestions listed on maps at the apartment to help. We took the ferry to Capri, which was lovely (watch out for the really expensive cafes and restaurants in the main Piazza at the top of the stairs…). The apartment itself had spacious rooms and a balcony with great sea views. It was clean and tidy. The kitchen was easy to use but the moka was small so we had to brew two each morning for two of us. Otherwise the kitchen was well equipped and we cooked several meals there. All around one of our favourite cities and places we stayed on our trip.

vacation rental

hi, i was given one towel for 12 days stay. plus, one room was locked. for me was fowls advertisement the apartment was supposed to accommodate up to seven people and I'm asking for a refund ... and the manager was nowhere to be found, thanks.

Great locations and views. Host was great. The apartment is dated so have that in mind. No washing machine and “shower” was interesting. It is a little gem and would definitely go back.

Beautiful view and great information

We stayed a few days and really enjoyed our time. Vittorio was very nice and accommodating as well as a wealth of information. He let us check in early and even sent a video of how to get into the apartment. He has information on the area and maps on the wall with QR codes for restaurants, transportation, tours and even a laundry. It saved so much time and the spots were great. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Thank you Vittorio. Sylvia

Perfect accommodations

This apartment is perfect for anyone who wishes to visit the Amalfi coast. It is centrally located by the train, and by the marina to go on the ferry to Sorrento, Positano, or Capri! The neighborhood is lovely! Pizza, pastries and coffee all across the street. Vittorio was a perfect host and very accommodating to us!

Ocean, breezes, and sunsets

Such a relaxing stay away from busy Napoli. Vittorio allowed us to checkin a little early and met us at the apartment to show us around. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the water at all times of day was glorious, the ocean breezes cool and calming, and the sunsets spectacular. Markets and restaurants in easy walking distance and we enjoyed the mixture of tourists and locals as we explored the town and watched life from the balcony.

decent stay

We stayed at this property for 5 days because we wanted to see several things in the area. Check in was very difficult as the apartment was not ready in time. We were able to drop off our luggage but then had to spend a few hours wandering and waiting for the apartment to be ready. The listing mentions a "newly renovated apartment" which this definitely was not. The interior is quite dated and need a refresh. The living area has the sofa bed, so if you need the 3rd bed, there is no living area outside of the kitchen and the small balcony. However, it does have AC which is critical in the summer here. The view from the balcony is lovely and we enjoyed that. The coffee maker was super tiny-it would have been nice to have a Nespresso or Lavazza machine or at least a larger pot. It was only big enough for one expresso at a time. We went every day to La Oficina café which is a 1 minute walk. Highly recommend this! Be advised that almost everything is closed in the afternoon between lunch and at least 6 or 7. It is almost impossible to find anything besides gelato during that time if you are seeking a snack during the day. The beach nearby is not fancy but it's quiet and walkable. Getting to a lido would definitely require a car or talking the local train. Be advised that there are 2 train stations in Castellammare-the Circumvesuviana is walkable but I would not recommend making that walk with luggage. It is not that close. The Catania Express station is quite close if you are taking the train (with luggage) to or from Naples.

Great city apartment

Wonderful apartment, 6th floor (yes,elevator) gives unobstructed views of the sea and sunset, and puts you above the traffic noise. 15 min walk to bus/train to take you anywhere. Quaint Food/wine shops everywhere. A/C in bedrooms and comfortable beds. Great experience

Mooie, ruime appartement. Zeer vriendelijke verhuurder. Spreekt Engels. Geeft je uitgebreide info en is zeer goed bereikbaar. Prachtige uitzicht op bergen en zee. In dorp voldoende leuke mogelijkheden voor restaurants, flaneren op boulevard, leuke plekken in de buurt. Aanrader.

spacious apartment with beautiful view

My family and I stayed in this lovely, clean and spacious apartment for a long weekend and had a great visit. It is conveniently located between Pompei and Sorrento for sightseeing. We used the trains and bus which were cheap and easy enough to get around and Vittorio kindly arranged a taxi for our final trip to the airport as there is no public transport on Sundays. I definitely recommend the cable car up to Monte Faito which is located at the train station and we also did a bus trip with a tour company to Positano and Amalfi. On our first afternoon we found a pizza place, Pizza Forever which was 30 Euro for 5 tasty pizzas and 5 drinks. Castellammare isn't a tourist area so locals speak little to no English but everyone was friendly and helpful, some areas werent pretty but the beach front is beautiful. If you are travelling around and sightseeing I recommend this apartment as a good base for the location, easy transport and beautiful view of the sea, Monte Faito and Vesuvius. Thank you Vittorio.

Perfect location with beautiful views!

Location is perfect for exploring Vesuvius, Pompeii, Naples, Sorrento and Capri from one spot easily. Very near the boardwalk which ended up being one of our favorite spots. We went every evening to grab dinner and walk along the ocean. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. In a residential area so you get to feel like you live in Italy versus just visiting which we loved. Beautiful views from bedroom windows of the coast.

Vue sur la baie de Naples splendide

Appartement très spacieux avec très belle vue sur la baie de Naples, idéalement placé pour rayonner de Pompei à Almafi en passant par le Vésuve. Le port de Castellamare di Stabia vous permet de vous rendre à Capri. Vittorio vous accueillera avec le sourire et toujours prêt à vous renseigner. Merci à lui.

Perfect place to stay!

Nice and large Appartement; Vittorio was very helpful. Next to the sea, city and the promenade. Good location to reach Pompei, Herculaneum, Vesuv, Napoli, Sorrent etc.. We had a great time and come back- maybe next year! You don`t need a car. (Try to get campania-card via internet. Inkluding train and bus it is sold out often !) Thanks a lot! Posto bellissimo....da ripetere

Sono stata ospite da Vittorio nella sua bellissima casa con vista stupenda sul Golfo di Napoli e sulla costa Sorrentina, molto ampia e con tutti i confort. Mi ha accolto con un cesto di prodotti di Castellammare davvero gradito e inaspettato, e due giorni prima del mio arrivo mi ha inviato un itinerario su cosa vedere nei dintorni e come raggiungerlo davvero molto utile. La camera da letto dove ho dormito ha un balcone che si affaccia direttamente sul Golfo di Napoli e sulla costiera Sorrentina, il panorama che si può ammirare sia di giorno che di notte vale da solo il costo dell'appartamento. Le foto dell'annuncio corrispondono all'appartamento, che anzi è molto meglio dal vivo. Non ho avuto modo di utilizzare la cucina, se non sfruttando la macchinetta per il caffè, davvero molto comoda comunque la cucina ci è sembrata attrezzata con tutto l'indispensabile L'appartamento si raggiunge molto facilmente dalla stazione della circumvesuviana, che dista circa 10 minuti a piedi. Si trova al sesto piano di un grande condominio, servito da ascensore, ed è molto tranquillo. E' ben isolato dai rumori della strada, in quanto munito di doppi vetri. Tutto ben pulito e in ordine. L'esperienza è stata davvero fantastica. Vittorio è un host molto premuroso e generoso e pronto per ogni necessità. Per gli orari di arrivo e di partenza Vittorio è stato estremamente disponibile. Nel corso del soggiorno Vittorio mi ha fornito molte informazioni e ogni volta che avevo bisogno di un consiglio è sempre stato immediatamente disponibile e le sue indicazioni mi sono sempre state molto utili. Nelle vicinanze dell'appartamento si trovano diversi bar, mini-market, chalet e ristoranti per ogni gusto. Castellammare di Stabia, oltre che un luogo interessante e ricco di per sè, è un ottimo punto di partenza sia per visitare Napoli che Pompei che la costa Sorrentina. Consiglio assolutamente Vittorio come host e il suo appartamento come base d'appoggio ideale per tutto il Golfo di Napoli, Penisola Sorrentina e non solo.
