"The hotel, Hotel Ananda Inn, is located outside Gate 5 of Lumbini, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and close to taxi and bus stops. The room was comfortable, clean, and tidy. Overall, this hotel isn't particularly good, but there aren't any major issues. It's probably above average."

"Location is ideal for walking to Lumbini. Staff were very helpful, arranging transportation and bringing amenities I requested. The staff woke me up in the morning to chide me for not coming to breakfast on time, which I found odd. There was also a very loud family that hung out in the hallway outside my door for hours in the middle of the night and kept trying to open my thankfully locked door. I asked staff to intervene but nothing happened."

"Great location. Right across the road from the gate to Maya Devi temple. The bus station is next door as well as all the shops and restaurants. Fan and AC in the room. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in since coming to Nepal"

"Very close to Monestaries/Birthplace. Our 2 beds were not available so they showed us some other options. The semi-private cottage was lovey but w/o a fridge. WiFi was strong and gardens were well maintained. Dining room communication was difficult on 1st night but better on other days. Recommend ordering off menu with no special requests or questions. One receptionist was quite helpful…fluent in English. She arranged bag breakfast & transit Non-Stay Note: driver from hotel to border was...

"Descent guesthouse in a good location near enough to everything but not loud and crazy. Within a 15 minute walk to bus station, 5-10 minutes away from food choices and banks etc. For this price hotels would be in worse shape so better to stay here. Shared shower and bathroom which were never cleaned i dont think. "
