"We loved Barb’s place so much. Very clean and cozy. Perfect for my husband and I to visit Carmel and surrounding areas. Comfy bed and nice amenities. All of Barb’s restaurant recommendations were spot on. Favorite being Dametra Cafe and least being Misson Ranch. Cooler weather than I expected in June, and always windy so needed jackets daily. "We enjoyed how most camping spots offered a good amount of privacy. I would recommend arriving in daylight. We arrived just after sunset and it was difficult to navigate in the dark having never been there before. It was a shame we couldn't have a fire, but the hike on the property was lovely. "

"We were down with family for the Big Sur Marathon. The home fit 6 of us very comfortably (4 adults and 2 kids) and would have been fine with the 2 more adults that were expected to come but could not make it. The kids loved running around in the backyard and we enjoyed an evening around the fire pit. The location is great with the ocean just a few steps away and getting into Monterrey in just a few minutes. Will definitely look to see if this house is available again on our next visit!"
