"We were made very welcome by Wendy and Lawrence on our arrival. We sat outside in the sunny garden with a mug of tea and a caramel bar. We had the entire dining room to ourselves. There was a great selection of cereals available and the traditional breakfast was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. "

The only poor thing was a very noisy fan somewhere outside my window, so I had to shut the windows on a hot night, the fan did go off, not sure what time, to be fair I do put the light out fairly early."

"Useful location. Spacious room. Allowed me early check in for which I was grateful. Bed comfy and shower excellent. Room was near entrance and on ground floor so had to keep curtain shut for privacy. Blind would have been useful. Breakfast was not great but this was an exception as chef was not available."

Locally sourced super home cooked food and locally brewed IPA. Clun is a nice village for a wander around after dinner. Last minute booking before rally driving would definitely visit again"

"We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again."

The longest, twistiest single lane country road with flocks of bantams took 15 minutes to reach the lodge from theain A road. Crazy! "If you are looking for somewhere central this apartment is in the very centre of town and the Saturday market. It is not for those less able as there are 3 flights of stairs to the apartment. When you are at the front door the neighbours dog barks. We appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. When in the apartment it was very clean although a bit tired and could do with some general maintenance. We were offered early check in which was good and communication was responsive and...
