ALMOST HEAVEN is perfect for a couples' weekend, fun family memory-making, and gathering friends. Whether you want to sit and relax, take peaceful scenic drives to enjoy the fall mountain colors, or run headfirst into adventure ALMOST HEAVEN waits for you!

ALL ROADS AND THE SPACIOUS DRIVEWAY LEADING TO THIS PREMIER PROPERTY IN THE EXCLUSIVE MY MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY ARE PAVED AND EASILY ACCESSED IN 2-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES /MINIVANS.

You will enjoy the beautiful view to the west across a valley approximately 30 miles to a blue mountain range. Breathtaking sunsets are visible from the living room, bedroom, large open wrap-around deck, screened-in porch, fire pit or hot tub.

The porches and decks are fully-furnished with mountain style chairs, rockers, couches, and swings that accommodate relaxed lounging and provide a great place for bird watching the many species of birds that visit. Roast hot dogs, marshmallows, and visit at the outdoor fire pit while enjoying picturesque mountain scenery. Unwind at the end of the day by taking a dip in the hot tub or sip wine on the swing.

The extensive, professionally-landscaped yards include variegated cypress, Leland cypress, willow, dogwoods, wild cherry, pine and various hardwoods. During your visit chances are you may see wildlife including deer, wild turkey, fox, rabbit, and squirrel. Black bears have been seen in the area on rare occasions.

This beautiful home offers an open living/dining area with a gas fireplace, fully functional modern kitchen, master bedroom with a king size bed and a full private bath all on the main floor. Upstairs is a bedroom with twin beds, private full bath with jetted tub. There is even a small futon for extra lounging space as well as a small desk. Downstairs is a comfortable den with a gas fireplace and sofa with pull out queen size bed. We have added a foosball table and a Ms. Pac-Man arcade system. There is also a lovely bedroom with a queen size bed with double glass doors that lead to the backyard. Completing this floor is a full private bath and a full-size laundry room. 8 people will sleep comfortably. All bedrooms, living room and den have modern flat-screen TV's connected to the Dish Network. We are working to consistently improve, update, and make our home even more comfortable for you!

We had an amazing time here. The house was perfect; exactly what we needed and wanted for our getaway. Very convenient and close to town. Most of all it was relaxing! We donā€™t want yo leave. We will definitely be back! We highly recommend!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The views were just as amazing as they are in the pictures. The home had everything we needed and Rachel was super responsive every time we reached out to her. When we come back to the area we will definitely stay again! 6 stars if we could.

Perfect Cabin!

We booked this cabin for a small bachelorette trip weekend for my sister, and absolutely loved it! The place was so beautiful and stocked with amenities; we barely wanted to leave! The property manager, Rachel, was so absolutely lovely and just a gem to communicate with. She was just so kind and understanding. I would most absolutely book this place again and highly recommend it to anyone considering it, and even those who aren't!!

The Perfect Place for a Group Gathering

This is our second time staying at Almost Heaven, and the name is perfect! The three living areas, each with their own bathroom, was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well appointed and clean with ample counter space. Entry into the property was electronic, and worked every time. Rachel is a very gracious host who worked to meet our every need. She provides a notebook with numerous places of interest in the Blue Ridge area.There is no way to fully describe the beauty of the view from the back porch. We had to leave a day early to go home because of the likelihood of snow and ice. The roads to the cabin are all paved and have a couple of steep grades. We will definitely book Almost Heaven again, and we will encourage others in our circle of friends and coworkers to book Almost Heaven for this visits to the Blue Ridge area.

Beautiful lodge in the forest

The house is large and comfortable. The only problem we had was weā€™re all old and the stairs were difficult for us. But we had a great time exploring the area, making a fire to enjoy outside, and doing water colors of the surrounding area. This place has literally everything you could need from linens to dishes, coffee makers to blankies in the living room to snuggle up. Weā€™d definitely recommend this place especially to enjoy the fall foliage.

Excellent stay

We had 3 adults and two teenage boys with us. There was plenty of room for us. The boys enjoyed the loft with the twin beds and private bath. My Mom stayed on the main floor and my husband and I had the basement. It was so easy to leave. Many places have you strip beds and put towels in a central location. We were able to just pack up and leave. There were plenty of things to do and the view was just breath taking. There was a fire pit but we did not use it. We will hopefully be back next year.

What a terrific place!

We were a little early for foliage but we had a great time anyway. Almost Heaven is just that! Only a few minutes outside of BR on a hillside with a gorgeous early morning and sunset view. The cabin had plenty of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen was more than we needed, Wifi was strong and the TV's had streaming and a solid Dish package. In all of the bedrooms, the mattresses were terrific and there were plenty of bedding options. Like the bedrooms, all 3 bathrooms were spacious and complete. The deck was huge, the hot tub was great and the fire pit setup was perfect. Would we return? Absolutely!

We loved being able to sit outside in the cooler air in the morning and evening and enjoy the view without being worried about mosquitoes. The hot tub was also nice.

Great stay, well stocked, awesome communication

Above all, the communication with the property manager, Rachel, was some of the best I've ever experienced. She gave an abundance of information regarding the house and surrounding area. She left a personalized note and gift (what?!) from a local business (a jar of apple butter -- I *love* apple butter) waiting for us when we walked in. And overall, just made the welcome that much more sweeter. We were only at this house for the weekend, but we wish we could have stayed longer. This is one of the most well-stocked rental houses we've ever stayed in. Not just for the kitchen, but also the bathrooms and the laundry room, and with plenty of beach towels for the hot tub and rafting. Plenty of room for 5 adults. The decks were amazing to sit out on for the two mornings we were there, drinking coffee and spying on the wildlife. It was a wonderful short stay, and we highly recommend this rental.

Almost Heaven is a very spacious cabin with a gorgeous view, a wraparound deck and lovely sunset views. The host had excellent communication with us and answered all of our questions. Great mountain view

The view of the mountains and sunset were breath taking. Great getaway to enjoy nature. The deck was our favorite place. We were able to see deer and rabbits in the mornings while having our morning coffee. Wonderful place to get away from the busyness of everyday life. The hosts are wonderful people and are there to assist if needed.
