A slice of Heaven! Private escape with gorgeous mountain views!

Escape to Backwoods Retreat - a secluded mountain hideaway with fabulous mountain views! Private gated property on 7 acres is conveniently located near Blue Ridge. Step right in to nature and enjoy outdoor living complete with wood burning fireplace, covered porch and 65" HDTV. Tri-level floor plan with bedroom and full bath on each level. Open the door and be blown away with the expansive view from the wall of windows. Open floor plan allows perfect gathering spot for family and friends. The family room has a gas log fireplace, 55' HDTV, fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area. The main level queen bedroom connects to a large bathroom that includes a soaker tub and a separate walk in - roll in shower that is wheelchair accessible. Upstairs is the romantic king master suite with its own private balcony. You can even enjoy a view from the large, rustic walk in shower in the master bathroom. The lower level has a queen bedroom, full bath, family room, gas log fireplace, 55' HDTV, a wet bar and wine refrigerator. Cabin access is ADA compliant and the main level bathroom is wheelchair accessible.Full house generator

We will stay here again. The host was very communicative and the home was extremely clean and had everything we needed — even the niceties like cream, sugar, coffee pods, firewood, and more. The home is beautiful and a quick drive to the downtowns of Blue Ridge and McCaysville.

Everything was perfect!! We have stayed in several VRBO cabins, and this was, by far, our favorite. It’s beautiful, clean, and so homey. Communication with the host family was always very easy! The cabin is gorgeous, the view is amazing, and sooo many deer visiting us!! We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful Private Escape!

Hubby and I really enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin. It truly was a “Slice of Heaven”! Everything was clean and the pictures are exactly how it looks. It was stocked very well with any kitchen item you may need, which is not usual in all rentals. We were given clear directions and it was easy to get to. They left a lovely gift, on the counter, and we enjoyed it. Hubby recently broke his leg and the cabin’s main floor was handicap accessible and easy for him to navigate. We left apples for the deer, which we saw daily. If you are looking for a truly wonderful and private getaway in nature, this is it. Next time we are bringing friends!

Long Birthday Weekend

My wife and love the Blue Ridge area and have visited half a dozen times. We’ve stayed in some very nice rental cabins but this one is by far our favorite. I was very nicely appointed as most are but the layout, the porches, and the outdoor fireplaces were our favorites. You can tell some thought was really put into this home. I love this place and will be back soon.

Few hiccups but overall nice

We have stayed at a slice of heaven before and really enjoyed it. We ran into a few issues due to the previous guest bringing in a pet and pet hair was on all of the furniture and carpets. My son is allergic, so we spend the first two days non stop cleaning and washing sheets and pillow cases. We even went out and bought our own quilt to help his allergies. Overall, the property and cabin are nice, just wish the cleaner would have caught the pet hair before our stay.

One of the best!

We are frequent visitors to the north GA mountains and have stayed at a variety of cabins. A Slice of Heaven is definitely at the top of the list for favorite cabins! We have already started to plan another booking in the warmer months. Highly recommend. Lots of little touches that make a big difference.

Perfect Cabin Perfect Weekend

Our stay at A Slice of Heaven was the best stay ever. Jim and Bobbie went above and beyond to make sure our Anniversary stay was amazing. We loved exploring local attractions in the area such as Amicalola Falls, The tree lighting at Dahlonega, Ga and watching college football in front of a warm cozy fire on the screened in porch. The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need. Just bring your food. Over all it was relaxing, peaceful and super cozy. Watching the deer graze in the mornings was a bonus.You will not be disappointed in this cabin. We can’t wait to return.

Relaxing get away

We very much enjoyed our stay at A Slice of Heaven. The property and cabin were beautiful and we had everything we could’ve needed. The highlight of our stay was seeing all of the deer each day. The cabin had the most incredible views from every room. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

This is our third time staying at this property. It never disappoints! We did not leave the cabin much. We did a few shopping trips and bought some fried pies from a local orchard. Mountain life is the best!

Great time for our 1 week getaway to North Georgia. Cabin was outstanding and the hosts were great for responding to questions. Great base camp to explore many places... Amazing cabin

This was the most amazing cabin, we loved the cleanliness, the attention to detail in the decor of the house. It is secluded and peaceful, there is nothing missing as far as the utensils and amenities. The promptness in the response of the owners was great. Susan, the housekeeper is awesome and very sweet. It was a great stay too bad it was not longer but, we will be back.
