Casa Gigliola is a holiday villa in Tuscany, just a few minutes away from the Abbey of San Galgano and only a short drive away from Siena (35km - 22 miles).
The house is located in Monticiano, a medieval village in the heart of Southern Tuscany, surrounded by woods and walking trails in the unspoilt countryside of the Val di Merse and other ancient hilltop villages.

Monticiano is one of the most beautiful villages of the Val di Merse, a wild and unspoilt natural area, covered in woods and rich in rivers and hot springs, dotted with castles, abbeys, little countryside churches and ruins, countryside villas and small quiet hamlets.
It is an ideal base to explore authentic Tuscany: the surroundings of Siena, Val d'Orcia, the Crete Senesi, the Chianti region.
Val di Merse is also on the border with the hills of the Upper Maremma, and Massa Marittima and the coast of the gulf of Follonica are only a short drive away.
The apartment has central heating for the winter months and air conditioning for the summer.

The apartment (60m2 - approx. 600 sqf) is located on the top floor and is made up of 3 beautifully-decorated rooms with a light blue pastel colour motif.
The holiday flat near Siena has one double bedroom, with ample storage space.
In the living room there is a double sofabed.

Mansarda has one bathroom with shower, bidet and washing machine.
Towels and hairdryer are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary for our guests to cook delicious meals.

The view of the village of Monticiano and of the surrounding countryside from the terrace is very beautiful.

People who enjoy easy hiking can walk to the Abbey of San Galgano. There is a brand new walking trail with benches along the way, which starts just outside Casa Gigliola and leads straight to the Abbey.
