"This land was so beautifully designed and maintained. We were looking for a spot off the beaten tourist hub where we could find quiet, reflection and be in deeper intimacy with the aninate world. It took a bit of effort to locate but we arrived just at sunset. Completely in awe with the bird life that visited (even the outspoken morning rooster :). And the visit to the river was welcomed. It does require a drive to and from, but if you welcome some time on the veranda watching the birds, you...

"Alan's house was a wonderful place to base our family (w/ 2 kids, 6 and 9) for visiting Santa Elena and Monteverde; it is a very charming spot with breath-taking views, my boys loved having breakfast and spotting rainbows our first morning. The house was spotless and the kitchen very well-equipped (with cookware and cutlery in excellent condition). Alan and his wife were extremely gracious hosts, always easy to contact and eager to help. We hope to come back soon!"

"To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that "

It was easy getting into town, and the host, Daniela, was extremely helpful with recommendations of activities, restaurants, grocery places, etc. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Our family loved staying here. The space theme was very fun for our young kids to explore. The location made you feel like you were in the jungle, and we had some bird wildlife sightings from the porch, but is actually very close to the main area of town and all the main activities in the area. Daniela was very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. "
