My husband and I are in our 70s and active for our ages. We chose this home so that we would have a gorgeous view if we didn’t feel like walking around or if the weather wasn’t good. We stayed here for 8 days in October and this home was perfect. We had rain almost every day but not enough to slow us down. Watching the shockingly turbulent water from the windows was spectacular, like hurricane weather in Florida. We walked everyday in spite of the (mostly) light rain. A light rain jacket was adequate and our hiking boots were water resistant. The home is convenient to two small grocery shops, many restaurants, and the trail to Vernazza. Hiking trails were closed during our stay, much to everyone’s disappointment. We saw many hikers turned away at the National Park entrances. Temperatures were very pleasant and fairly consistent, day and night. The home was very quiet at night. Because the boats ran only two of the 8 days were were there, due to the sea conditions, there were very few tourists down below the home at the water’s edge. The house is set apart from the old town below and for this time of year, it felt like our own secluded private bit of paradise. There was plenty of luxuriously scalding hot water, although once it is gone, apparently it takes 90 mins to heat back up. (according to info posted in the house) We never had a problem with not enough hot water. Kitchen was wonderful for cooking. Unique, comfortable, gorgeous home on solid rock. We loved it!
