Palazzo Rosadi, Monterchi, Arezzo and Cortona

Palazzo Rosadi is an exquisitely restored 18th-century villa presiding over spacious parkland on the fringes of the rural hamlet of Ripoli, on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. Sleeping 12 across three storeys, this villa is full of original features, such as stone fireplaces and vaulted and beamed ceilings, with patterned floor tiles and hand-painted murals adding an original touch to some of the rooms. Elegant antiques help maintain a sense of the villa’s heritage, but this is a homely place, too, where you’ll feel supremely comfortable. There’s sure to be some debate about who gets the bedroom with the balcony.

The well-tended grounds descend from the elevated villa like a tiered wedding cake, revealing a spacious lawn set with a table and chairs, leading to a shady terrace with another dining area where you and yours can eat al fresco feasts from the barbecue. (There’s also a little children’s play area tucked away in the grounds.) On a lower terrace, the generous private pool is fringed by pretty flowerbeds and towering cypress trees, and overlooks classic Tuscan countryside of forests, vineyards and olive groves, views that can also be enjoyed from the indulgent Jacuzzi. If the historic palazzo inspires you to delve deeper into the area’s heritage, the medieval city of Arezzo is less than an hour by car and Sansepolcro around 30 minutes. 



Guests can fish at a private lake not far from the villa (no equipment supplied), and a selection of unique, complimentary local excursions can be arranged by the owner. Guests are welcomed with a buffet, which is included in the cost of the villa. There is 5 hours use of local tennis court in Monterchi available, included in the price. Equipment is not supplied.

3 hours of maid service Wednesday morning is included in the price. The use of the jacuzzi must be booked in advance so it can be prepared and heated. Please contact your agent for the price and to book. A private chef can be booked, only on request and with owner confirmation. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms.
