The name of the cottage "Il cacciatore di lucciole" is not accidental and derives from the fact that fireflies come out of the woods during the summer nights, because attracted by the lights of the house, and gather in the garden. This is a beautiful natural phenomenon that creates a magical atmosphere and will make your children especially happy. In the surrounding area there are many tourist destinations that will allow you to explore this beautiful region: Orvieto, famous for its cathedral (about 25 km), Todi, a beautiful medieval town (about 34 km), Bomarzo and the Monster Park (about 27 km), Civita di Bagnoregio (about 28 km), the Terme dei Papi (VT) (about 47 km), Lake Bolsena 35 km, Lake Corbara about 20 km, popular with anglers. In an hour by car or 45 minutes by train you can reach eternal Rome from the nearby Alviano Scalo train station, with Florence also only two hours away by car. These and many other destinations are also easily accessible due to the proximity of the Rome-Florence E35 freeway network and the Orvieto toll station, just 19 km away.
