"Wonderful stunning views, bountiful kitchen supplies, loved and well taken care of beautiful property and wonderful hosts! Could have used some lake floats and/or cleaning of the Algae ladder was too slimy to get in and out of lake. As a result could not partake in the lake but otherwise was divine!!! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Fernweh! The quiet, seclusion and peacefulness was just what we needed. Loved the hot tub while drinking my morning coffee and listening to the relaxing sounds of the river. The cabin has so much character and we also loved the beautiful sites, waterfalls and restaurants the area has to offer. Thank you!"

We love waking up in the morning, having coffee on the dock while the kids fish, and taking advantage of the kayaks and canoes available. "My wife and I booked this stay because we have too many kids, and we needed to get away. This cabin has everything we needed for the perfect, quiet getaway. Our only regret is not staying longer. Lesson learned. We'll definitely see about a longer stay here, next time. On another note, whatever the housekeeper, Lisa, is being paid, she's worth it and more. This place was absolutely spotless. "First time staying in Alabama. We rent vacation houses many times per year and I can say our stay here was wonderful. It is close to the road, there is definitely road noise, but it didn't matter, the house and the view made you forget the noise. The bed was beyond comfortable! We lost power one night (the entire area, not a house issue). I messaged the host and received a response within minutes (at 9:30 pm). "The cabin was very cute & functional. There needs to be more silverware. Also the cabin did not cool down very well. The little ac over the couch only worked on low cool. Check-in was very easy. The pontoon closest to the marina may have a small leak as the cabin is lower on that side. Would definitely stay there again! "
