"The staff was friendly and property was clean but our room smelled like urine really bad. I possibly would stay in a smaller room in future but the big room with kitchenette was very smelly of strong urine. The staff were nice though."

"I arrived at this Red Roof with a near traumatic experience in their hotel in Benton Harbor. But: surprise! This one is much better. The room was decent, as well as the bathroom. "This is a very cute property, also very quiet and clean. It is a bit rustic, but we LOVED IT! There is a private little beach to Lake Erie as well. My only complaint would be the beds are uncomfortable. Feels like laying on springs, but if you print your own mattress topper, it’s fine! I would also suggest to put a set 4 bunk beds in on of the rooms. Kids hates sleeping with each other in the same bed, so if there were bunk beds… it would have been perfect. "Very comfortable beds and rooms were clean. Very nice staff and breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels. Waffles. Fruit. Various flavored water, juice and good coffee. Great for the price."

"The hotel base board was falling apart next to my hotel room. The trash can base was dirty. My room tables was dirty and it was hair in my tub from the last guest. The room looked like it wasn't clean properly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Not to mention the back door had trash around the vent. I took it upon myself to ask the hotel for some disinfectant so that I felt like the room was sanitized. Horrible establishment!!"

"Each time we choose to visit the lake and occasionally due to unpredictable circumstances; this hotel is the only option to stay ! It’s always clean , proximity to the beach area , stores and restaurants. The hotel staff is always accommodating. The location is our favorite , especially being close to the freeway, for any emergency exits .The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean and the lake view is amazing! If you’re like us and like nice things , this location is the place to be ....

"Property is very nice and renovated, staff is helpful and also very nice. View from lakeside patio is amazing. Only reason for four stars is a few improvements could make a big difference, like coffee in the rooms.(it was available for free in the lobby), and bar soap in the bathrooms. There is very little room on the bathroom sink to put toiletries, but the bathrooms are clean and renovated and showers are good. We had a nice stay and would visit again."
