"Love love love! Dec-2018: Stayed for 2-nts with the family (6 adults and 5 (all under 9yrs) children) and loved the location, space and freedom that Cumnock Knowes afforded us. You can't miss the property as it stands proud on the horizon as you drive south, out of Carsphairn. The woodland that has been removed from around the house would have offered some protection from the elements, but the views from every window were fantastic - hopefully replanting is in the plans for the future. "Lovely location and awesome views. Property was very comfortable and cosy. We're allergic to feathers so Sue made sure there were no issues. She took great care to think of our wellbeing. We are an older couple so comfort and ease of getting around the flat are important to us. The flat was well equipped and tastefully decorated. Thanks fir a lovely stay."

"Beautiful Lodge in an idyllic setting, immaculate, clean and well stocked. Added bonus was the hot tub although the weather was exceptionally hot and a "cool tub" would've been amazing. Good location, easy for visiting Dalscone Fun Farm. Booked to return again soon. "

"Having stayed in Wanlockhead for a week at the end of June 2021, this property seemed like an ideal overnight stay during a house move from the the South Coast to Aberdeen. Within easy distance of the M74 and very peaceful. Loved the bold décor. Excellent nights rest , the downstairs bed was very comfortable and the property spotlessly clean."

"This is a beautiful and luxurious property. We really enjoyed our stay here. We are three middle aged women (plus 2 elderly cats) and it was perfect for us with an en-suite bathroom each plus an enclosed utility room for the cats.The estate is beautiful with lovely walks and is close to Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet, all of which are within a 20 minute drive. We visited Threave, Cally gardens and Broughton house as well as the Red Kite experience and some local alpacas!...

"This house is spacious, beautifully appointed and very well equipped. Add to that the fire-pit area in the huge garden, field to the rear and separate games room, it was an absolute winner for all the family! The views in every direction are just breathtaking. In easy reach of Castle Douglas and the numerous tourist attractions in the area plus lovely coves and beaches. We just loved our stay here and plan to come back some day."
