Perfect for a family trip to Smith Mountain Lake!
The property was very clean and comfortable for my son, grandson and I. The kitchen was well equipped with dinnerware, silverware, glasses and pots and pans. The grill was great for an evening of burgers! Even my miniature dachshund loved it! We will definitely plan to stay there again!

PERFECT GETAWAY LOCATION
This was our second time staying here and we will definitely be returning again! Perfect location near the Bridgewater plaza marina. Shops, food, boat rentals, miniature golf, live music etc...Access to the lake with a dock. The property managers are amazing! Very accommodating and friendly. You don't want to miss out on this one!

Quiet cove
This was a great little spot to put in a kayak and paddle around the coves. Owner says tournament bass in the area. I lost a bass at the final reel in. Weather was too cold for much success. Definitely a work out bringing kayaks back up the hill, even with the wheels underneath. Great location and great hosts!

Enjoyable & Relaxinf
We had such a great time at Smith Mountain Lake!! The house was perfect for us and our doggie and the dock was incredible. We loved the area and enjoyed a few wineries and some good food. Thanks for letting us share your place!

Our cozy annual lake weekend
We love this cozy, cute property! It's the only place that is reasonably priced where we can bring all three of our dogs. It's right on the lake so we usually rent a boat for the day that we can dock there and then spend the other day swimming with the dogs. They love the property as much as we do! I highly recommend the location for a long weekend (or week) away to relax. We will be back next year!

Clean and quiet
We absolutely loved staying with Sharon and Warren. We barely knew that they live next door. This mobile home was probably the cleanest and most inviting places I've rented on VRBO. Our family very much enjoyed the private dock, and the quietness of the cove that protected us from the main channel. We will most definitely consider coming back!

Young family friendly house in the perfect location
I came with my young family (kids: 2, 5, 6) and this house ws perfect. The beach is great to let them explore the water and the dock is great for swimming and docking our boat. The entire property was clean and well maintained. We felt safe and comfortable all week. The house is located perfectly on the lake. In a quiet cove close to all the fun activities. We're planning on returning and I would recommend to anyone.

Perfect location!
This was probably the cleanest property I’ve ever stayed in. House was easy to find. The dock and beach were wonderful and perfect for our kids. It was a little strange to bring your own sheets and towels, that was a first for us. If you forget them there is a dollar general about 2 miles away. Also a grocery store if you plan on cook while you are there. Owners were nice.

We had a blast
We had a nice relaxing weekend at this location. The house is very clean and in close proximity to lots of places to eat. We loved Drifters, Jake's place, and blackwater Cafe. The dock was great and very pretty at sunset. My boyfriend even proposed to me on the dock. What a surprise. We will always remember this place. The dock was down a hill but not terrible, just try to make one trip down. We fished, floated on rafts, and hung out. There is a place for your boat too. The house/dock is in a great location on the lake and allows for almost no traffic of boats going by. Owners were also friendly and left lots of information for you at check in. We plan on coming back for sure

Perfect Location
This is the perfect location! Less than a mile to Bridge Water plaza and marina! Good food, boat rentals, live music, shops, putt putt golf and more! If you just want quiet time you can sit out on the deck or walk down to the dock and relax on the swing or fish! We will definitely be returning!

Great, well maintained property at an ideal spot on the lake.
Great location!!! The property is well maintained and clean. The walk from the house to the dock is short. There is a small beach area that entertained the kids for hours. The dock is well laid out and is very accommodating for docking the boat, swimming, fishing and simply sitting to relax.

Very quiet with space to relax
Our stay in this home was very relaxing. Due to activities and rainy weather, we did not get to spend much time in the home and on the dock, but the time we did spend was very pleasant. There was room to move around, and the street is very quiet.

The location of the property was awesome for trucks with boats. Warren and Sharon are great hosts and nice people to talk to. They directed us to boat launches, restaurants, and historic attractions.

Birthday trip
Rented the place for my sons 23rd birthday and the place was perfect for us. We rented a boat, and enjoyed the little beach area with floats and the dog loved it for swimming. Wonderful place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was great and very close to the water. Our dogs loved the beach area. The dock easily accommodated boats. We would love to stay a full week next time because 3 days was not long enough!

No frills in a good location
The house was perfect for our family of 4. This was a long weekend before school started. We spent days on the lake and most evenings out. Being allowed to bring our dog was awesome - no boarding her here at home. I would recommend this location if you intend to be on the lake as much as possible. Check in/out was very easy.

Great Dock!
We enjoyed our stay at SML this year. The house was good- especially for the price point. The dock area was our favorite spot of the vacation home. The dock was big and the swing was great. The cove was really nice- low wake area but close to Bridgewater plaza. The property is on a hill, but its not near as bad (steep) as other properties we have stayed at previously. The sandy beach by the dock was great for my younger son and dogs to get in and out. Also- great for kayaking. Grocery store and restaurants within 10/15 min. The bed in the 2nd bedroom seems to be newer than in the master- so you may want to give your kids the master! The 2nd bathroom had much better shower pressure and drainage. Only had one problem and the owner was very quick to respond. They were very nice. The grill was great on the outside deck- it seems to be maintained well as food didn't stick to the grill and was easy to start.

Fantastic Family Vacation
Just got home from a wonderful week with family (husband, 2 year old, 3 year old, and me). The rental was great. Hanging out on the dock and the beach with the kids in the warm water was perfect. Easy access to restaurants(many in the area are closed Monday and Tuesday), grocery, and boat rentals. We did rent a boat for the week and exploring the lake really added to the experience. Owners were near by and very nice. We would do it all again!

A breathe of fresh air
This property is just right for getting away from it all and recharging after a tough year. The house was super clean! Extra care was taken to make sure we felt safe concerning the recent virus issues. The rooms are spread apart so all members of the party can get some time away if needed. Outdoors, a grill and a swing make the back yard perfect. The large boat dock has a sand pit and another swing. All ages of people could enjoy this property. Would highly recommend!

Quiet place in a lovely cove
Perfectly comfortable place on a cove with a lovely dock that has a swing and with a little beach area next to it. House is in a quiet waterside development. It's near Bridgewater Marina, where you can rent boats and dine out (we liked the Mexican place), cove is about 5 minute boat ride from marina. Owners responsive and nearby if needed to handle any issues, but we didn't have any. Kids thought beds were too firm (I had no issue with the bed) but they loved the resident duck family who make the cove home.

Lovely getaway!

Nice rental on a quiet cove.
Plenty of space for the two of us and a small dog. The walk to the water was challenging for us older folks but not terrible. We like to cook and found limited pots and pans. The grill has seen better days and a grill brush would have been nice. Overall a nice place at a reasonable price.

Great location, comfortable home
We had a lovely stay at the lake- wonderful dock for our boat, nice beach area to relax on, and a comfortable and clean home! The owner was quick to respond with any question! Keep in mind that the walk down to and back up from the water is deceptively steep. If anyone in your group is elderly or fatigues quickly, please consider that.

Great little house on nice cove
We just returned from a week at SML. This house was a great little place for our family of 5. The cove was quiet and a great place to just hang out in the water. The location of the house is perfect, close to marinas and the state park. Sharon and Warren were amazing hosts and quick to respond to any inquiries we had. The first day we were there, a very large snapping turtle showed up dead on the beach. Warren dropped what he was doing to take care of that problem for us right away! The beach was a fantastic spot for our water loving dog to get in and out of the water, but the end of the dock was deep enough for us to float without touching bottom. They also take the cleanliness of the house serious in this time of covid, which we very much appreciated.

Even though we experienced an extremely rainy week, we really enjoyed our stay here! It was a great space to be trapped in during the rain, and the location to the marina and other shops was really nice. It is a perfect place for a family to spend the week! The large dock, swing, and beach area are also great!
