I stayed at this hotel with my family during New Year's as a fun getaway. We were looking for a pool and restaurant in the hotel, and the themed room was a really nice touch. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out the pool was closed (we planned a lot of our trip on this) and that staff didn't know when it would open. Not only was this disappointing, but there was no word of it whatsoever on the website or anything letting us know beforehand. Also, the sign in the lobby indicated that the restaurant was open Wednesday through Saturday. We arrived on Tuesday so it wasn't open (also wasn't indicated anywhere on the website) so we were excited to have restaurant and pub service in the hotel on Wednesday and planned to do supper at the hotel. When we arrived at suppertime that evening the restaurant was closed even though the sign out front clearly indicated that it was open. There was no additional signage or anything letting us know it was closed. This was another significant blow to our holiday. If we had known that both the pool and the restaurant would be closed we would never have booked.
On top of this, the rooms were not what was expected. We stayed in room 204. The themed part of the room was fun and our kids enjoyed it, but the room amenities were sub par. We brought our own cables to hook up our streaming services to the TV only to find out the remote for the room was a "clean" universal remote that didn't have a menu button and there were no buttons on the TV.
