Esperança: Living in Nature with a Natural Swimming Pool, Southern Cévennes, Southern France

Located on a hillside below the village of Molières with sweeping views, two bedrooms with access from the garden, a living room filled with books, a kitchen surrounded by greenery, and a natural swimming pool. In summer, tall trees provide ample shade, and 35 species of birds live in our garden.
The small town of Le Vigan, with its large market, is 4 km away. There are hiking trails starting right from the village and opportunities for day trips to the Cirque de Navacelle, the Causse Larzac and Causse Blandas plateaus, and Mont Aigoual. The Arre and Coudoulous rivers provide a refreshing escape from the summer heat. The university city of Montpellier and the Mediterranean Sea, including Palavas, are just over an hour away by bus.
Almost every one of the surrounding villages has an old silkworm factory, as well as two churches. We’ll share the stories behind them during the excursions you can take with us.
