River cabin with a treehouse feel. Located directly on Fish River. Kayaking, campfires, fishing Gulfshores-38min, Downtown Fairhope-18min.
Kayaks and fishing poles provided. Samsung smart TV. Fast internet-300mbps. Summers can be hot outside...two A/Cs & a dehumidifier!

Bass-kin is a house located directly on the Fairhope side of Fish river. The cabin has a very inviting interior with wood panels, floor, and blinds. Bass-kin has great natural lighting with 11 windows(with natural wood blinds). You are so high up that you feel like you are in a treehouse. The ladder leading to the upstairs loft style bedroom has a full size bed with a great expansive view of the river. If you prefer not to use the ladder, the couch down on the main floor is a pullout queen size bed.

Enjoy everything about the property: kayaks, fishing poles, grilling picnic area with a Webber charcoal grill, fire pit,etc. The river is great place to spend your time! The Inside of the tiny house living area is a great place to watch a movie or football game. It has a very comfortable down filled couch and a 42 inch Smart TV which includes Youtube TV, which is the newest(best) streaming service that provides 70 of the best cable channels, and is easy to navigate. When watching movies, the smart tv allows you to log in to your Netflix or Amazon Prime account. We have Wifi internet with lots of power(300 mpbs!!). Big Daddy's grill is just a few blocks down the road. Big Daddy's is one of the areas most popular casual dinning restaurants located on the river.
The occasional rain shower can be a little bit of a bummer at most places, but not at the cabin. Its great to hear the rain on the tin roof.
Southern Summers can be hot. The cabin has two air conditioners and a dehumidifier... When combined it makes a comfortable temperature inside of the cabin.

A large portion of short term rental properties have the owners who live on or adjacent to the property. We do not live on or adjacent to the cabin.

Recent guest spotted a Bald Eagle at the property during their stay!

Because of hazards like a child falling throught the hatch of the sleeping area and the rocky bulkhead, we ask guests not to bring children.

This is a great place to stay for a relaxing getaway. Everything you need for hours of fishing, kayaking, and sitting around a campfire is at your fingertips. Fairhope and the surrounding location provide endless activities.

My husband and I booked this tiny house for a quiet getaway! It was perfect! We thought the loft area was quite cozy. We loved watching the boats pass by on the river. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make breakfast one morning. We would highly recommend this place! We were impressed with all of the information and the labels were very helpful. Michael was a pleasure to work with.

We loved this little cabin on the Fish River. It had everything we needed including many little things you'd never expect (like fishing gear and live bait). It's a great location. We also enjoyed the town of Fairhope.

I had plans to surprise my husband with reservations to stay at this tiny cabin on the river back in October!! We are local to the area and we had something come up that caused us to have to reschedule. The property owner, Michael, was more than understanding to accommodate us having to change our dates!! It was very easy and weā€™re thankful for how flexible he was! The cabin itself was so cute and quaint!! It was exactly what we love and was very clean and organized!! We grilled steaks the first night and were pleased to find all the essentials we needed for the charcoal grill provided for us!! We even had to text the property owner to ask if he had matches or a lighter to use and he was prompt to provide us an answer back!! All through the night and the next morning it had rained a lot, but we enjoyed having a slow Saturday morning listening to the rain hit the tin roof and watched a cozy Christmas movie in the living room!! The WiFi was very fast and worked great!! We honestly loved everything about our stay and have no complaints!! We also thought it was such a special touch to have welcome gifts when we arrived!! Overall, it was a wonderful place and we would love to stay again one day!!

This is a great little place to stay for a long weekend. The owners communication is top notch and the care they obviously have in making sure you have a great stay is very evident. The neighborhood is great (The neighbors two calico cats are the finest greeters there are, they made fishing so much fun!). It is a tiny cabin with alot of charm and thought put into it. We didn't want for anything while there (we didn't cook anything while there but there is a great array of things there to use). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We loved staying in baskin by the river! We kayaked up and down the river every day! The cabin was perfect! The owner was very nice and willing to help with whatever we needed. We would definitely recommend a river adventure!

Our stay at Bass-Kin on the River was everything I wanted it to be. The cabin is super cute and has everything you could need. Definitely get up early enough to watch the sun rise. We took the kayakā€™s out fishing and had so much fun! We plan to come back as soon as time allows.
