"Loved the ambience of this house filled with so many period features. Even better were our hosts David and Lindy who went out of their way to obtain help for me when I fell ill during the night and required hospitalization. The following day, David drove my partner to the hospital to pick me up. A stay at The Laurels is like visiting with old friends, sitting in the living room with other guests of an evening with a glass of wine and a selection of snacks. Breakfast could not have been better....

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our cabin was clean, compact and comfy. The park is extremely well maintained and is very clean and a short walk to shops with the beach a few minutes walk. Originally booked for one night but our cabin was available for us to book for a second night. There is also a lovely cafe near the entrance to the park.. enjoyed a very nice breakfast "

"Our cabin worked really well for our family of 5 adults for an interstate family birthday. Walking distance to family, the beach, lagoon and local shops and clubs. Water views. We didn’t use many of the cabin facilities as we spent most of our time elsewhere with family, but our grandkids loved the playground. Had a minor hitch with the coded boom gate but sorted very quickly by helpful staff, both in reception and with the after hours emergency contact. Park is neat, tidy, quiet and well...

"A pleasant surprise to find somewhere close to all of Wollongong and south to kiama (short drive either way), that was peaceful and quiet at a reasonable rate at Easter time. The on-site restaurant was very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic, as were our host. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times, my wife and I will be staying when in the area again, thanks for an enjoyable stay - we look forward to staying again in the future 👍👍"

"We stayed in the one bedroom executive unit in late March from Monday to Thursday in room 201. * Location is excellent, close to the train station and restaurants, easily walkable to blowhole and surf beach * Secure parking with keycard access, there are two levels and there was no shortage on weekdays * The suite itself was clean, but was more like an apartment with vinyl floors. "The Coniston Hotel is good value for what it provides and is close to Wollongong. Room was clean; bed comfy. Just be aware they are currently undergoing renovation to the downstairs pub during the week so you may experience noise after 7am. We would stay again. "
