"Heating turned on at 20degrees but frankly when it’s minus 7 outside this was not enough. A fan in the bathroom would be good because it’s unreasonable to expect the window to be open when freezing outside. Shower was hard to adjust. A manual when you arrive would be a help too If you had 4 people in this house it would be too small. A simple double bed in the second bedroom would provide a bit more space to move around. Towel rail in the bathroom would be better if you could tirn it off and...

"The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at ease as a lone traveler. My room location was less than ideal at the very top of what seemed to be a never ending staircase, however the room itself was very nice, albeit a smell in the bathroom which smelt of drainage. It was however clean and spacious. The breakfast and evening meal were great and again all staff lovely and helpful."

"The room was nice & clean , a bonus was the air conditioning as it was hot weather . We also ate evening meal there which was ok , breakfast was plentiful with a good choice . We only stayed one night on our way to Scotland & our daughter & family met us there to complete the journey . What was nice was that they were able to park & use the hotel for food / drinks etc . Thankyou we appreciated that 😊"

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Large spacious well equipped bedroom with all the amenities that you would need. Maybe could do with a coffee table to eat your breakfast hamper off and a hook on the back of the bathroom door A wonderful stay and very good value for money."

"We had a racing break their it was vey good and clean the only negative was the evening meal finished at 7 we were 2 late. And no breakfast . We could only have 1 coffee each as their was no coffee sachets and milk cartains. When the bar closed"

"We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. "We booked the cottage and were so glad we did. The photos although good, don’t really do it justice. The bedroom opens out onto a spacious balcony with good quality wooden table and chairs. The view is very serene, as you can see the river. The hot tub is really amazing. It was very clean and we were shown how to use it properly. If anything it was a little hot at 40c. It kept this heat for several hours. Bathroom was beautiful. Living room immaculate. And a 2nd bathroom with toilet and shower....
