Una semana inolvidable

La casa es perfecta para pasar una semana con familia o amigos. Espaciosa, con una piscina generosa, barbacoa... no le falta de nada. El interior es enorme, en especial la cocina y la zona del salón-comedor. Todo muy limpio a la llegada, Maite fabulosa y siempre dispuesta a resolver cualquier duda. Mijas es un pueblo que hay que visitar. Supermercados cercanos a la casa, y también hay varios servicios de comida a domicilio. A las playas cercanas se llega en apenas 20 minutos. Volveremos!

Amazing stay!!!

Definitely the best place I have ever been for a few days off. Linda’s place is exactly as advertised. The villa is even better than you can see in the pictures. Plenty of details. Nothing is missing. Linda’s responsiveness and Maite’s (the host) attention could be better. I definitely recommend to all VRBO community.

Just Wonderful ❤️

Our family of 9 adults had a fantastic week at this stunning villa for my sons 30th birthday! Everything was just perfect from start to end! property manager Maite was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for her and her husband Bill took us to and from the airport cheaper than a taxi and great company with lots of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The villa has absolutely everything in it for your convenience that we hardly left it! So quiet and the most stunning views ever!!! The pool was amazing 🤗 we had it heated for the week which took the cold from it and made it nice and tepid for a swim anytime of the day. We were all so sad to leave at the end of the week and would definitely return and also recommend it to anyone! Only slight downside was the steep hill up to town so a car would be a bonus for anyone with mobility issues 🤗 The garage at the top of the hill had the most wonderful warm fresh baked baguettes every morning! The village itself Mijas Pueblo is stunning and Maite and Bill recommended a gorgeous restaurant called the , secret garden’ which had the most amazing food and atmosphere ❤️ Thanks so much to Linda for providing her beautiful home for us to make these great memories...

Everything was perfect

We really liked the Villa Montana. We had a wonderful week in the very well equipped villa with its wonderful views to the Mediterranean Sea. Everything was clean and nothing was missing. There are many beautiful retreats in the house and outside with many lovely details. The villa is situated on a slope in a quiet residential area. To the centre of Mijas with its many restaurants and small shops you can walk - the climb is steep, but not far. In the evening it is not so crowded there and very nice. Linda greeted us warmely with a bottle of red wine. Maite showed us everything on site and gave us valuable tips. The communication worked perfectly and we felt very comfortable. We highly recommend the Villa Montana and will definitely come back.

Our week at Casa La Montana in Mijas Pueblo.

On arrival we were impressed by the location & lovely views. It is a 15-min. walk to Mijas Pueblo, a quaint white washed traditional Spanish town with lots of character, lovely restaurants & shops. We were 2 families holidaying together with 4 adults & 4 children in total. We were greeted at the villa by Bill who provided a professional handover. As we unpacked, we noted the property has benefitted from some renovation. The kitchen & downstairs bathrooms had been nicely updated, but there were other rooms that were worn & tired, such as the upstairs bathroom. Within 2 hours of arriving we discovered a rat in the downstairs double bedroom. The property is fitted with Fly screens but they were badly worn & some had holes, and in other rooms were missing. This meant we were not able to leave them open. We did find the missing screens in the wardrobes, but unfortunately the property manager was unable to refit them after a gallant attempt! Whilst cooking our first meal in the kitchen, some pots & pans were old & badly worn, we also noted that the fan oven didn’t work properly, this was reported to the property manager but unfortunately, he was unable to arrange a repair during our stay. Consequently, all the meals we had planned didn’t come to fruition and we had to eat out more than anticipated. The front door couldn’t be secured properly, in fact you could easily open it from the outside with a kitchen spatula. Some lights did not work including the pool light, which meant it was unsafe to use the pool after sunset & appreciate the ambience it would have provided. A curtain rail fell on the children in the bedroom when closing them, the rats were still prevalent, & by the final day were climbing on the table where we had been enjoying lunches. The sunbeds around the pool area were old & some were broken, with signs of previous repairs. Unfortunately, many Issues, including the fan oven, pool lights and rat infestation were not remedied before the end of our stay. The BBQ grill and outside kitchen area was unclean & we felt uncomfortable using it due to the lack of cleanliness, lighting and rats coming from the foliage at the rear of the property. The property managers always answered our calls and made several visits to the property, All could be rectified & improved with further investment & maintenance and although this had a big impact on our stay, hopefully our feedback will ensure future guests have a more enjoyable stay.

Returned to a little piece of Paradise

We returned again this year (for the second time) to La Montana, this time for three glorious weeks. We love it. It is th perfect Villa for all our needs. We had friends/family come and stay for a few days at a time and it was magical. Maite (House Manager) is amazing and Linda keeps her home filled with love and light.

We had a great holiday in this lovely villa which was exactly as described. Great communication from the Linda (the owner and Maite (the house keeper) both before and during our stay. What a wonderful relaxing villa

Our family of 3 just spent a week relaxing in Mijas and driving around the local area. This villa was perfect from cooling off in the pool, grilling and wandering the streets of Mijas this was perfect. The views are spectacular as is the wonderful Maite who made us feel very welcome and was there when we needed her most.

Absolutely Sublime - Again

We arrived and felt the stress just dissipate from our shoulders immediately. It is exactly how we remembered it from last year. Thank you to Maite for meeting us and having the place ready and to Linda for such a wonderful home away from home. Truly an inspiring home.

Fantastic experience in Mijas, Pueblo

Our family enjoyed a one week stay in this lovely home in Mijas, Pueblo. The location is outstanding, overlooking the hills and coast. We were only a half hour door to door to central Malaga and Marbella, and appreciated very much coming back to Mijas. The house is beautiful and modern with some rustic charm, featuring wooden beams throughout the living room and kitchen ceilings. The floor is marble, which can be a bit cold in the winter time but is easily ameliorated with socks and/or slippers. The kitchen has an enormous island which the family spent a good amount of time around, and a lovely pool, terrace, patio and outdoor barbecue area. We didn’t spend anytime swimming (earl January) but it was certainly sunny enough to enjoy ourselves chatting in its vicinity. This is truly a family home and a lovely place to stay. We were taken care of exceptionally by our hosts Maite and Bill. Maite responded to everyone of our requests, helping us arrange a chef for the week (Sofia who makes excellent Moroccan food), book taxis, and maintain the property. Wonderful experience, wonderful home, wonderful hosts. One week is not enough!

Wonderful villa with amazing views

Our holiday started with Maite greeting us and settling us into the accommodation. She even arranged a restaurant reservation for us which was much appreciated after our journey to Mijas. The accommodation and layout of the villa was perfect for our group. We were a family of 4 with an extra couple. The upstairs double room and en-suite was a perfect hideaway for our friends, while we occupied the 3 rooms downstairs, so we all had our own private space. The kitchen had everything you would possibly need to produce a meal or prepare food for the outside BBQ. The pool area is great, with plenty of space for everyone to catch a bit of sun or find an area in the shade to read a book. The views were wonderful. Mijas itself is outstanding. Such a pretty place, with plenty of shops and restaurants to discover. Our favourite restaurant was Aroma which had a huge garden to enjoy the evening in. The kids enjoyed the chocolate making experience at Mayan Monkey and also the horse and carriage tour around the village. Mijas had a couple of small supermarkets and the garage near the villa was surprisingly good for picking up a few essentials. We did our main shop at Aldi, which was a simple 10 minute car journey down the mountain. Talking of mountain, the villa is at the bottom of a steep slope from the main road. Its a tough 10 walk up the hill, and then a further 5 minute, more leisurely walk into the village. We managed to do it most evenings, but an alternative solution is to take the car and park in the village car-park as it’s only €1 for 24h, or call a taxi which was only a few €s. All in all, our group had a wonderful time at the villa!

Amazing Amazing Amazing

We just left today after three amazing weeks at the villa. It was perfect. Fully equipped to the highest standard. The House Manager, Maite, met us on arrival, and we immediately fell in love with her personality. Anything we needed throughout our stay we just had to text her and she was on it, from restaurant reservations to organising taxis. The sun is on the villa from 8am until 10pm and the outdoor area is fantastic. It is a steep walk to the village so a car was necessary. We had various family come to stay at different times and everyone had a wonderful time. Linda, the owner, was on the other end of the emails if we had a question and she answered very quickly. We had Fatima, a wonderful lady, in for housekeeping everyday and we would HIGHLY recommend asking Maite to organise this. She kept the villa in 5* Hotel quality throughout our stay. MIjas was a quick two minute drive, the BP Gas station had EVERYTHING you could need, fresh bread, gas, cold foods, even outdoor floats for the pool. The Villa held eight people with a lot of comfort. At one stage we had eight with probably 15 devices on the internet and the internet worked perfectly well. No glitches. Mijas has wonderful shops and restaurants and the breeze all through July, even at 34 degrees was great. Evenings were lovely to go for walks. We will be back next year, but for longer :-)

Fantastic

Fantastic says it all. The villa was outstanding, we were a family of 8 six adults and 2 small children, the villa was clean everything you could need was there, the pool was great clean and warm the barbecue and patio area fantastic. Lynda kept in constant touch with us as did Matie who met us on arrival both were very helpful. You do need a car to stay at this property the hill described by Lynda is VERY steep however i did manage to walk up a couple of times. All in all we had a great holiday thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful villa Lynda.

WONDERFUL VILLA

EVERYTHING YOU NEED AND MORE IS THIS VILLA, IT WAS LIKE A HOME FROM HOME. LINDA THE OWNER COULD NOT OF BEEN MORE HELPFUL, ANSWERING ALL QUESTIONS ( WHICH WERE A LOT AS WE WERE GOING THERE FOR CHRISTMAS). WELCOME FOLDER THERE WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEEDED TO KNOW INCLUDING EMERGENCY NUMBERS, FANTASTIC!!

Peaceful with wonderful views

This is a lovely house which is not overlooked by close neighbours in a quiet urbanisation just outside Mijas. We enjoyed walking into the village for an evening meal. The pool stayed warm under the cover despite it being November. The rooms are clean and simply decorated. Linda was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Thank you for a lovely stay.
