  • The Creek House é uma casa de 1068 pés quadrados. Toda nova construção. Situado nos carvalhos e 8 acres de terra privada em Midpines, Califórnia. Uma comunidade do Yosemite Gateway. Temos dois riachos sazonais e um riacho durante todo o ano na propriedade. 2. 5 km por uma estrada asfaltada da rodovia Yosemite 140, durante todo o ano. Oferece um ambiente tranquilo e um pouco de privacidade. A propriedade é composta por 12 acres de terra BLM, totalizando 20 acres.

    A casa é um 2 quartos 2 banheiros. Com um sofá-cama na sala de estar. Uma cozinha completa complementa o layout do piso. As portas francesas se abrem para a sala de estar, onde você é recebido por tetos altos e um layout que dá uma sensação de espaço. Uma grande porta deslizante do pátio se abre para um pátio privado, mesas ao ar livre e um churrasco Weber. Os quartos estão situados em extremos opostos da casa. As novas camas queen size o recebem para uma noite de sono confortável. O quarto principal tem seu próprio banheiro privativo e amplo. O quarto principal também tem o seu próprio pequeno pátio e porta de correr. O segundo quarto está situado ao lado da outra casa de banho completa. Ambos os quartos têm ar condicionado independente e controle de calor e ventiladores de teto. A sala tem uma TV de tela plana de 40 polegadas com Roku. Dois sofás confortáveis e uma espreguiçadeira. Controles independentes de AC / Aquecimento e um ventilador de teto. Pisos de azulejos nos banheiros e belos pisos laminados em todo o resto da casa trazem uma sensação de relaxamento. A cozinha está totalmente equipada com utensílios de cozinha, panelas, frigideiras, conjunto de facas culinárias, tábuas de corte, liquidificador, torradeira e tudo o que você precisa para preparar uma refeição saudável. Tem café torrado, chás e açúcar. A despensa possui óleo de cozinha, azeite e livros de receitas coloridos. Uma prateleira de especiarias completa a cozinha. Muito estacionamento gratuito. Luzes exteriores e iluminação de segurança. WIFI grátis também está incluído, no entanto, estamos em uma área rural e não garantimos a velocidade e a conectividade do WIFI. Recebemos um sinal da Verizon na The Creek House.

    Estamos a 15 minutos da cidade histórica de Mariposa. O rio Merced fica a 10 minutos de carro. Pesca, natação, rafting e relaxamento aguardam. Estamos a 40 minutos de carro da entrada do Parque Nacional de Yosemite e a 60 minutos de carro do vale de Yosemite. A unidade segue o belo rio Merced, portanto, reserve um tempo extra para as operações fotográficas. Há também serviço de ônibus da área de Midpines para Yosemite.

Great property for a visit to Yosemite if you don't want to stay in the park. Has everything you need. Outdoor space could be upgraded (ie cut the grass). Overall, vey good value for the money!

The Creek House in Midpines is a great location for daily adventures in Yosemite National Park entering through El Portal. It is also conveniently located near Mariposa which offers good restaurants and Main Street shopping. Communication with the hosts was efficient during booking, arrival and departure. Overall, a great experience.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Deano and Angie and their lovely property in Midpines.It was an excellent "base of operations" for my trip to Yosemite.It was clean, comfortable, and great fit for parties of 4 or fewer, and I really appreciated how accommodating the hosts were when my flight & subsequent check-in were delayed. Very grateful to them!I was also grateful for the clear instructions around the house regarding the appliances, water conservation (that part of CA was in drought conditions at that time), and check-out.Again, thanks to the hosts for a wonderful stay!

We loved staying at the Creek house! We so enjoyed meeting Deano & Angie and look forward to returning to this gem of a place. I want to rename it the deer house because I had 14 deer sightings right in the backyard. (even a mom and baby). There were wild birds including a turkey that greeted us upon arrival. The property is spacious and backyard is so peaceful. The sky at night is amazing. The home is very clean , A/c works great. Fully stocked kitchen. Short drive to grocery store. Yosemite gate about 35 minutes and beautiful Merced river runs the drive. We will return 5 stars! Perfect for our Yosemite vacation!

The house is on a well water system. It came out brown. The host did provide a potable water dispenser but it ran out. I contacted the host to let them know, they still have not responded to my message. Luckily we had brought several gallons of water with us and there is a grocery store in Mariposa where you can refill your bottles. They have a ring doorbell camera. They know when you enter/exit. They controlled the AC unit and would turn it off during the day when we were gone. It’s very frustrating to come back to a house that is 85 degrees and try to get it cooled down enough to sleep comfortably. I believe it is unreasonable to ask the renter to turn the AC off every time you leave the house. Overall the house is nice and the location is nice for visiting Yosemite National Park if you can get along with the inconveniences of the aforementioned amenities, or lack thereof.

Great stay near Yosemite!

Very nice and thoughtfully designed place in great location. Kitchen was clean and well stocked. Host was very easy to reach for questions and check-in was smooth.

Great location!

This place was perfect for accessing the whole area. We were at the house for a week and found it SO nice to be close to main Yosemite valley and therefore the ENTIRE park. Quiet area as well with nice sunsets.

Great stay and fun at Yosemite.

While the home in in a rural area, we liked that no noisy neighbors. The place is very clean and quiet. One morning we had deer in the backyard and a different evening wild turkeys. It has a split floor plan which is great for privacy.

Simply wonderful!

We absolutely loved this cabin. The location was convenient for visiting Yosemite to start. In addition, the cabin was ideal for our needs. The beds were VERY comfortable. Communication with the hosts was done by text and everything went well. The cabin was very well stocked and VERY clean. We would happily stay again.

Great base home when visiting Yosemite National Park!

Very clean and comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Kitchen was easy to cook meals and well stocked. Had many pantry extras that I appreciated. Bed was comfortable and bathroom large with a good hot shower. About 40 minutes to the Arch Rock entrance with a beautiful drive. Grocery store was about 15 minutes away. Hosts were very responsive and generous. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if ever in the area.

Wonderful stay

Creek House was in a good location with plenty of amenities nearby. Kitchen fully equipped and bed very comfortable. Rest of the space was furnished to a high standard including a welcomed air conditioning unit and washer/dryer. All areas were extremely clean. We enjoyed our trips to Yosemite which was within a commutable distance from the property. Hiking was excellent and the views were amazing. The weather was kind to us too with mainly hot & dry days and warm nights. The main reason for staying in Midpines was to access the Park and we weren't disappointed with the accommodation, it surpassed all our expectations. Communication between ourselves and Dean & Angie was good and they greeted us with a few treats for our stay….. thanks. Definitely recommend this property and hopefully will return one day.

Nice and clean worked for 6 guests

Dean and Angie were great in that they accommodated a rebook a year later as our original booking was in the midst of the ‘18 fire there in Yosemite. The house is nice but it is a drive to get to stuff in Yosemite so make sure you ‘really’ account for that travel time lost daily as you’ll want to get into the park early as it crowds quickly (parking issues). Typical trip times if you are cruising at above the speed limit and not getting held up with construction or slower cars: 1hr 20mins to Yosemite Falls, 2hrs+ to Glacier Point, 1hr 30mins to Mariposa Grove (Giant Sequoias). Nothing to complain about other than to note there really is no cellular service there (I think maybe some Verizon connection but we don’t have that). We assumed we’d have some connectivity to do daily trip planning on our iPads but no ATT connection and the WiFi provided was hit and miss at best and verrrry slow (can I say ‘you got mail’). So we struggled a bit as we were trying to adjust pre-planned activities and couldn’t really look anything up online. Was able to make one phone call via WiFi calling but generally wouldn’t work. There really is no TV service there also (roku) as the internet isn’t sufficient. They do however have a DVD player with selection of movies which we used to keep the young ones entertained while packing daily and such. Nice house for those wanting something more than a hotel so you can cook meals and be all together as a family. Kids got to see turkeys walking behind the house the first morning we were waking up and they enjoyed that! Thank you for the stay Dean and Angie!

Clean, comfy house with easy access to Yosemite

The property was just as advertised and described. It was immaculately clean and well stocked and all appliances were in working condition. The house & furniture were very comfortable. You can even catch a decent sunset from the hill in the backyard. Most people in this area are here for Yosemite. And you certainly don't want to miss it. But don't forget there are lots of non Yosemite places to go if you want some relief from the crowds in Yosemite Valley. We went on short hikes from various river access points like the Merced River Recreation area in Briceburg and Bagby Recreation area Lake McClure where we spent a lovely Sunday and saw only two other people. Usually we go to Forest Service road areas but so many are closed this year that I decided to expand my search for less heavily used locations. We were surprised & thrilled that Glacier Point rd opened the Friday while we were there. We spent a great day up there mostly around Sentinel Dome but around on the right side where you get a full on view of half dome. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get there. On Wednesday we saw a huge backup at the left turn from Yosemite onto the road to Wawona and Glacier Point. We also were held up for about 30 minutes from construction when we were entering the park, just after the pay station. However on Friday it was clear and no construction was going on so it made for an easier trip. Anyway, back to the house & property. It was a great spot to just hang out in the yard or on the lawn furniture. The internet all over that part of CA isn't great in terms of speed. But most people don't go to Yosemite for internet access so I just went outside. Mariposa is an easy drive and nice town with plenty of shopping available. That's where we bought groceries. Personally I prefer Midpines/Mariposa to the Wawona side and prefer coming in on 140. The owner, Dean, was great to deal with. There was excellent communication and whenever I had a question he responded almost immediately. It was always a pleasure coming back to the house after a long day of activity. Only wish we could have stayed longer. I've never been out there in the spring and the wildflowers everywhere were amazing. And the crowds are less than during the summer & school vacations. It's always busy but this summer should be interesting as you need to have a reservation to get into the park. If you go this place makes a great base!

Peaceful Getaway

Property was pretty clean. Plenty of items to make it feel like home. Clean up was easy and directions were laid out appropriately. Little far (1 hour at least) from Yosemite. Town of mariposa is ok.

lovely property BUT.......

The location and the home were very good. Only issue giving this stay a poor rating was the water from the faucets. The water was brown with visible sediment which would settle in the glass etc after a few minutes. Even the ice was brown.We had to buy bottled water for drinking, cooking etc.... something we don't normally like to purchase.When showering we didn't know if the brown on the washcloth was due to dirt from hiking or what was coming out of the showerhead. To me this water was/is a health hazard and and the property should not be allowed to rented if this condition occurs regularly or not until the problem is corrected. If we had known that there was a possibility of this happening we would not have rented this home.
