"We booked this property with the event of the polar express planned on Saturday. We checked in Friday night and the house was wonderful. I really enjoyed the journal that was left to write notes about guests stay. I thought there would be a lot more to do in town but we couldn’t find much of anything of interest at the time, so we ended up leaving early Saturday evening."

"Wonderful host! Beautiful campsite! Clean Port-a-potty, with 2-ply toilet tissue! Awning over a picnic table for a nice dinner, there's a grill, fire ring, wood supplied and chairs. We camped at "Big D's Pond", one of his two camping sites. The only drawback is that there's no place to wash/clean up. "Hippie baths" All in all, you will not be disappointed!"

"This place is super close to the Trak and Yak trip which we were in town for. It was a great location right in the middle of town. The only complaint would be the three window AC units did not cool the whole house. At least the evenings were cool to open the windows. Would stay there again, but would bring a fan for the king size bedroom that did not have a window unit."

"We loved Poppy’s Cabin! We met family about 17 miles away for our early Easter Gathering. It was so nice to return to this lovely cabin in the woods. We so enjoyed the wildlife and the lake, and our daughter and 2 Grandbabies enjoyed scouting for bears ( which we didn’t find one, but fun to look)! We plan to return to Poppy’s just as soon as we can. Happy Easter"

"The hotel has beautiful grounds and surroundings. There were some Quiky things about the hotel. Like they wouldn't accept a letter for the outgoing mail, and they keep the luggage carts locked up and you can only use them when the valet is on duty. There isn't maid service everyday but the rooms were clean, a good size, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of towels and service items. The breakfasts were really nice, and the bar tender in the sports bar was very competent. "
