"The host was very communicative! Sadly, I made an error in my calendar so we had to miss our reservation but giving 5 stars for host’s communication."

"Check in details were provided only a few days before our arrival and only after we reached out to inquire. Photos did not include exterior photos of the home so it wasn’t very easy to find, nor were the instructions clear that the “front door” is actually the second floor so instead we walked in to the unfinished basement (also not included in the photos) which made us concerned we were walking in to the wrong house! House was also not very clean unfortunately!"

"Red flags from the get go. Host did not respond to messages prior to check in until I finally called her at which time she said something rude and hung up on me. I called back and explained who i was and then she was polite. 30 mins prior to check in we got a message that check in would be delayed from 330p to 5pm due to a broken pipe. "Property was just as pictured. Great location near the pond. Home had everything I could have needed, including a few snacks. Bit of a snafu on check-in but host communication was quick and pleasant!"

The registration process was difficult, as the link to the “happy guest” program didn’t work from my iPhone and figuring out how to upload pictures of the front and ack of my license and a picture of me holding my license was time consuming and frustrating. "Pros: The views of the lake are beautiful - especially during the fall when the trees are turning. Check in was easy (but had to call to get the instructions). The house is equipped with Roku tv and the bathroom has a heater. Cons: Zero response from the owner despite multiple direct messages through VRBO. Had to call customer service to get check in instructions - never got any for check out. Other: I’m glad I read prior reviews and knew the property was right next to neighbors and at the end...
