Highly Recommend.

We were very satisfied with this property. It is well located, nicely furnished, and the host is very accomodating. It worked out very well for the 5 of us. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the beach, the walking path along the Intercoastal Waterway, the pools and the jacuzzi.

Beach vacation

This location was perfect for a week at the beach. Though the unit is older, it was clean and nice. The ac workes great, there was pay laundry on site. Perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen was nice to have as we didnt need to eat out every meal. The only reasons for not giving all 5 stars was the front desk was much nicer to the actual hotel guests than the vrbo guests and the fact that we couldn't sleep in due to construction on the building next door.

Adequate place to stay

Nice place ocean front. Only issues were construction being done in apartment right beside us that started at 720 in the morning. Manager only stated that they shouldn’t have. Spoke with owner and he was gonna let me have a refund for the rest of our stay but the manager would not let us leave until the next day. Place was nice and owner responded quickly after speaking to the manger.

Nice property

Very nice property. Wonderful probably 85 degree pools in January. Just awesome for that. Tiki bar should drop prices on drinks and they would sell a lot more and make more money instead of so much time waitresses with nothing to do… everything else was nice

Family trip

We had a great time at this beautiful hotel! The check in process was very easy. The property was really beautiful and clean. The apartment could use some renovating, extra linen and towels. Loved the pool bar but not happy that one of the two small jacuzzis was not working. Overall, my family had a great experience at the Alexander.

Our Stay in 608 at Alexander Hotel

This property is in terrible condition. Old, dirty, out dated. They are doing construction at hotel and next door. So lots of noise. Never stayed at a hotel apartment before, probably never will again. I usually rent a home for a stay. Parking is expensive and the area itself along Collins Ave is dirty. The owner Joe was fantastic with communication and very helpful in times of need. I would rent from him again if he has other rentals. Thank you Joe. I would have given him a higher star but place needs to be updated and cleaned better.

AMAZING FOR ALL

This family trip was amazing! My children are in their mid twenties and then I have one that is six. I was worried about everyone having the best time but I definitely recommend this place with so much to do for everyone right there. We hardly even left in our vehicle. Our host was fabulous too and excellent with communication.

Exactly what we wanted for our weekend in Miami

We wanted to stay on the beach while in Miami for an event, and this unit was a great match for us. There was plenty of space, lots of storage/luggage racks, seating, etc. The view was fantastic. The property was right on the boardwalk, which we loved. We didn't use the pool or other facilities, because we were out during the days, but it was pleasant to walk past the pool areas to get to the beach for morning/evening runs. Check in/out was super easy. The valet parking was a bit pricey but very efficient. I emailed the hosts a couple times ahead of our stay and their communication was super fast and helpful. I recall some reviews of this unit that note issues with cleanliness/updates. We found the unit very clean and well-equipped. Sure, there's a popcorn ceiling and older fixtures in the bathroom, but those did not affect our enjoyment of the weekend! If we're back in Miami/Miami Beach, we would stay here again.

Parfait pour une famille

L’emplacement est parfait. Les installations de l’immeuble sont super! La plage est proche et magnifique. Un peu loin d’une épicerie. Le condo pourrait bénéficier d’un peu d’attention, mais en gros, très bien!

Good for the price

Owner was very attentive, outdoor amenities were gorgeous, great location. Unit itself was nicely decorated but in need of TLC. Ceiling vents were filthy, blinds were falling off windows (did see new ones in the closets), needed a good deep cleaning. The staff was attentive but a bit pushy with buying their food/beverages poolside, coolers not permitted in pool area nor could you bring in your own food.

Great place!

The apartment was great, nice and clean, plenty of room for 4 people. The building amenities were also great, nice and clean pool area, beautiful beach. The food/drinks at the bar are pricy, and they won’t allow bringing your own food to the pool, but that was fine. The location could have been better, not much to do in the area, the closest supermarket is about 10 minutes away, we had to Uber there, also around 10-15 minutes to the South Beach area where all the action is. But for the price of the apartment it was worth it, you can’t find anything cheaper than this further south. Overall we really enjoyed our little vacation and would love to come back!

Very nice stay

Nice clean apartment located by the beach with view of the ocean. The apartment looks exactly as is presented in the photos. The pool area is also very nice. The owner was helpful and responded promptly to our inquires. The free trolley on Collins street was convenient and useful with a stop right in front of the hotel (it runs every half hour weekdays and every hour weekends until 11 pm). The only reason I am giving it 4 stars not 5 is because there were not enough towels (you can do laundry but that was not on my list of things to do on vacation or pay $35 for extra towels) We also ran out of toilet paper by the end of the stay. We did not rent a car and there is no store in walking distance either. Bring extra toilet paper.

Definitely Paradise

We enjoyed our stay! the property has a balcony with a wonderful ocean view & a short walk to the beach is very convenient; the layout of rooms was perfect for our 4 guest party. Our host Joe was very responsive to a few minor issues that arose & in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend this property for a Paradise Getaway !! We hope to vacation here again! Great Owner

Overall our stay was really good. Joe was extremely helpful and very quick to answer all of our questions. He is really one of the best VRBO hosts we have had. I would say the pictures of the place do not do it justice. The condo was really nice, good balcony, well equipped with everything you need for a stay. Including towels, 3 big screen TV's with full cable, kitchen supplies well stocked, shampoo and body wash etc and even a cooler for the beach! The pool area was nice and not over crowded and they do supply towels for the beach and pool. The staff at the Alexander were all really nice and friendly, and checking in and out was done in under 5 mins! There were a few downsides. The food and drinks were quite expensive by the pool and you could not bring in your own, but really the beach was awesome and right there so.... The elevators were a problem. There are only 2 that service the entire Alexander. We often used the stairs (6 floors) because it sometime took over 10 mins. for an elevator. I feel this would be a deal breaker for some which is why I do mention it, for us we just dealt with it and it didn't negatively impact our vacation.
