I really hate to leave a negative review, but when you’re staying somewhere for 15 nights, paying over 3K USD and the reviews don’t reflect the reality, the truth needs to be shared.
Pros:
• 24-hour security (older gentlemen, but still reassuring)
• Great location across Parque Mexico
• High ceilings
• Mini kitchen with a microwave
Cons:
• Noise: Walls are very thin. You can hear construction, workers playing music, and other guests in the hallway (it echoes a lot). If you’re a light sleeper, expect to be woken up if people come in late or loud.
• Bathroom issues: Shower head works but water does not come out even; hot water doesn’t last long. Toilet seat was wobbly and needed maintenance. Bathroom was never properly cleaned during my stay.
• Cleanliness: Couch was dirty and uncomfortable, walls badly need repainting, and towels were frayed. I even found holes in some sheets.
• Safety & maintenance: No security box. The CO₂ alarm went off — thankfully, I brought my own detector, which confirmed an issue. I immediately opened the windows, and the smell went away. We contacted Expedia, who reached out to Miguel (the property manager, who was kind). He said there was no gas problem, but I still slept with the windows open the rest of my stay.
• Room change: My first room’s AC didn’t work (display showed an error). Maintenance blamed the remote, which was laughable. After playing with various remotes I requested another room — definitely a downgrade, but at least the AC functio
