I booked this property based on attractive photos and affordability, but the reality was completely different. I will not stay here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere. While the location and price may seem appealing, the issues below far outweigh any benefits.
1. Structural Safety Concerns
I was staying here during the January 2, 2026 earthquake. The unit suffered significant damage: drywall tore open, lights and pictures fell, and X-shaped cracks appeared in the walls. Local friends of mine who work in architecture stated this type of cracking indicates serious structural instability and advised me to leave immediately. Multiple locals confirmed this level of damage is not normal. I have photos documenting the condition.
2. Undisclosed Construction
Major construction is ongoing on multiple floors and the rooftop, with loud drilling and jackhammering from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. The noise is extreme, vibrates throughout the building, and was never disclosed prior to booking.
3. Poor Cleanliness
The room was not properly cleaned and had visible blood stains and other unsanitary marks on the walls.
4. Misleading Service Policies
For stays under 15 days, no towel changes, linen changes, bath mats, or replenished toiletries are provided unless you pay extra. This was not clearly disclosed.
5. Poor Communication
The property was extremely difficult to reach, even after multiple attempts and Expedia’s involvement.
