Historic Riverfront Mansion - 11 Bedroom 10Bath - The Ballard Estate

The Ballard Estate is ideal for the largest groups and families. This 11 bedroom 10 bath estate can be utilized as one large home or divided into 7 individual suites. Combines classic styling and architecture with modern amenities and accommodations.

Experience this historic, century old, riverfront home situated waterfront with breathtaking views. Access to private docks, outdoor living areas, kayaks and a garden gazebo means you won’t need to venture off the property to take in all the natural beauty the area has to offer. This direct riverfront 8000 square foot home can accommodate up to 36 guests in beds.

Includes the Following:

Basics: Dishes, pots and pans, bakeware, flatware, utensils, glasses, 12 cup coffee pot, High quality bedding, linens, pillows, plush bath towels and beach towels.

Fun Items: Beach chairs, coolers, board games, two full size propane grill.

Not "Fun" Items: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, some cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, kitchen soaps, shampoo/conditioner.

Living Areas Includes: cable TV and smart TV with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.

Three Full size washers and dryers, irons, ironing boards, blow dryers.

Kitchens: Full kitchens with ovens, electric ranges, refrigerators, and microwaves.

NOT PROVIDED: Food or pantry items of any kind, toiletries, personal items.

Kayaks are available to use on the property. These are complimentary for those renting the Ballard Estate.

Note: All paper products, trash bags and cleaning supplies are provided but not unlimited. If your group uses more than the standard amount, you will need to purchase separately. Please message us for any other questions about the property.

Mansion was great! There were 27 of us staying and it never felt crowded. Whiffle ball out back, fishing on the dock, football games on TV in one of the downstairs family rooms, 1000-piece puzzle being worked on at one of the dining room tables, meals being prepared in the huge kitchen, all of this going on at once! we had a blast. This place was well stocked with ALL the kitchen tools needed, plenty of hot water, not a single complaint from any of the family or friends who stayed the 4 days with us. Love the originalness of a 100 year old mansion with modern conveniences.

The Ballard Estate is beautifully located. The views of the lake were stunning. I did not realize that there are 6 kitchenette’s and 1 main kitchen. Our large family thoroughly enjoyed this property

Family Gathering

My husband and I, our 6 children and their very young families joined together at this beautiful home. It was the perfect place for our gathering. Each family had plenty of individual space and the home also provided lovely and comfortable communal space so that we could all eat and be together for evening activities. Communication with the hosts was incredible and they went above and beyond helping us secure more porta-cribs and answering any questions in an extremely timely way. We enjoyed the beautiful setting and grounds, and the location was fantastic for our schedule. Though the home reflects its age, it is charming and has been carefully cared for and upgrades are beautiful. The carriage house was perfection and a wonderful addition to the historic home. The entire family loved it and we are so grateful for such a fabulous place to stay. It will provide memories for years and years to come. Thank you!

Large house with great location needs TLC

A group of ladies stayed at the house. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms with multiple kitchens. The house is 100 years old. It had a wonderful water view. The house requires some TLC both inside and out. We had an issue with pests inside the house. The manager brought traps but we still had issues with ants. The outside needed cleaning and the landscaping is overgrown.

Family reunion

We chose this property for our family Christmas (about 30 of us)! The house worked really well! Loved it, enough room in the back yard for games and got to watch dolphins each day! A short drive to a nice public beach! Great host! A child broke a window and we had no problem working with them to have it repaired! Covered by trip insurance!

Great old house right on the water

Great old house with updated kitchens. Had a group of 17 and we comfortably fit. Plenty of TVs and separate spaces to gather as a group and have some alone time. Recommend if you need a big space for a big group.

I cannot begin to express how much our family fell in love with this historical property. Absolutely beautiful and exceeded expectations of our group of 23 family members. Location was perfect and close to anything and everything you need.

Vintage property

It was nice to be able to block off sections of the property for privacy. Needs some better cooking pans but we made due. Fishing was great from the pier with shrimp and crabs.

Older, but had the room we needed.

8 families, 35 people, this location had enough room for us to play games and visit together, as well as have separate suites/areas where each family could have alone time. Its an older home (1914) so it does have its rough spots. But it had all the things that mattered: AC (dead of summer and we were cold!), Space, Parking, Location, Dock to see Dolphins (whoop!). Communication was great during our stay (only had 1 issue). We plan on booking again!

Perfect for our family reunion

The Ballard House was a perfect location for our family reunion of 23 people, ages 16-83. The gorgeous home contains separate living spaces, allowing each family to have their own kitchen area and bathroom to share, with one larger kitchen/living room space for everyone to gather. There’s plenty of room to spread out, but also to hang out together. The historic home has been tastefully updated, maintaining its charm. The outdoor space is beautifully landscaped with tropical plantings, and a small pond. It was wonderful to step out on the dock at any time of day to birdwatch and spot dolphins. Even a stingray was spotted by two cousins, and one saw some blue crabs hitched to the dock posts. Half of our group was home at the time of a rocket launch and had amazing views from the back yard and dock. One evening we had a spectacular bioluminescence show in the water while we were out on the dock. Then the “kids” got out the kayaks and paddled around creating blue lights all around them! It was a wonderful, unforgettable week!

Truly a Gem

We stayed at Ballard over a long weekend while also hosting a small wedding ceremony on site. The house is absolutely gorgeous and also accommodated all of our needs. Andy was very communicative and helpful with every question. We loved watching the dolphins from the dock and taking a paddle board around the river. Do not hesitate to host gatherings here, would be perfect for a family reunion or multi family vacation.

AMAZING!!

Everything about our stay was perfect! From booking to the day we checked out. We couldn't have asked for a better location and the host Andy was so helpful and accommodating for us. This property is by far one of the BEST we have ever stayed at. We woke up early for the sunrises and enjoyed nighttime on the dock. Everything inside was so clean, spacious and comfortable and you can just feel how you are staying in a special piece of Florida history. Thank you for such a great experience! Perfect house for a reunion of friends / family

The layout of the home cannot be matched. All rooms are part of individual suits with couches, kitchens and private baths. Big room is great to gather but you can have “chill” time in your own suite or great to have groups doing different activities. Multiple kitchens made this the easiest Thanksgiving ever. Great view of the river especially during sunrise. Inside was very clean and comfortable, exterior is good but has been hit by a few storms and did a great job getting the home ready. Zero complaints only compliments! .

Incredible House and Location!

We had 11 couples for a 60th birthday, it was the perfect house in a great location. Everyone had their own space, but we also had plenty of room to congregate as well as enjoy the gorgeous backyard. Andy the host was fantastic!

Family reunion

This home is amazing! It was our first family reunion and everyone, all 31 of us, can’t wait to do it again. The historic home was spacious enough that everyone had their own space and there was plenty of room for all of us to gather. We all enjoyed the spacious yard, the dock and fishing and the kayak rides. The team was helpful with whatever questions we had and pleasant to work with. We all highly recommend this lovely estate and hope to be back!

Great house for a large group

Much better than the pictures suggest. Huge historic house on the water with several suites of rooms with their own kitchenettes. Great space for large gatherings, giving everyone their own space. Dock that is great for fishing and boats can be rented nearby. House has kayaks Amazing water view. Large back yard.

Wonderful home for our family reunion

Loved staying in this home for our family reunion. We had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Love the history of this home and feels like living in a 1900s home with modern resources. We had multiple families there they where able to have their own space when needed. The backyard was amazing between the space for fun games to the docks and kayaking. Just a wonderful spot. The management company was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. Great choice for a summer vacation!
