The space
A+ ALBERT PARK

This stylish, heritage Victorian home is located two blocks from the beach in Albert Park. Albert Park is regarded as a premier inner Melbourne bay side suburb which sits between South Melbourne beach and the ever-popular Albert Park with its stunning lake.

Everything you may need during your stay is nearby with retail, cafés and fine dining is all literally just around the corner on Victoria Avenue. Step out the door and you will see the trams roll by.

This delightful Albert Park cottage has been restored and decorated with a well styled collection of designer furniture and striking artwork.

Enter the classic hallway with its Victorian arch, high ceilings and traditional cornice and you will immediately admire the dark timber floor and wall lined artwork.

Enjoy the leafy streetscape from the front lounge room with its original Victorian features - high ceiling, ornate cornice, rose and feature fireplace. The room has a stone marble work desk that enjoys the tree and skyline views making it perfect as a home office. The comfortable couch and the luxurious velvet arm chairs in the room provide comfort. The super-sized Smart TV and Bluetooth sound bar provide lounge room luxury. More stunning artwork surround.

Next down the hall is the queen Master Bedroom with large built-in wardrobes. The bedroom looks out on a sunny light court. Hotel quality linen is provided.

Next to the bedroom, the hall opens out to the home’s Dining Room/Kitchen with a convivial large round table that comfortably seats six. The meals area has glass windows and a door that opens out to the light court with planted greenery. The artwork and room furnishings are captivating. The room’s air conditioner provides year-round guest comfort.

The adjacent kitchen with its generous work bench is complete with all the needed appliances, a large fridge, barista coffee machine and a well-stocked pantry.

Next to the kitchen is a bright, white bathroom with luxurious continuous hot water for the shower. Toiletries and a hair dryer is provided. Off the bathroom is the laundry with a washing machine /dryer. An iron, ironing board and drying rack is supplied for guests use and convenience.

The rear, west facing outdoor courtyard with covered timber deck receives the afternoon sun. The brick paved courtyard with outdoor setting and barbeque is landscaped with planting including a lemon tree. The outdoor living space is perfect for enjoying al fresco dining, entertaining and that gin and tonic.

This light and bright home sleeps up to four guests. The house features portable heating, air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi with unlimited data, Netflix and on-street.

There is restricted time street parking in front of the house. Free parking is available at the end of street near Albert Park College. Parking permits are not provided.

A porta cot, baby blankets and highchair is provided.

Well behaved pets are always most welcome.

The house is easy walking distance to the South Melbourne Beach, Gasworks Park, a dog friendly off-lead park with children’s playground and Victoria Avenue with its ever popular watering hole and eatery the Vincent Hotel and the award winning Jock’s ice-cream.

The home is easy walking distance to Albert Park shopping village on Bridport Street with its stylish boutiques and cafes. People travel from near and far for the legendary Andrew’s Burgers and the latest “go to” eatery at the Village Wine Bar or the luxe Albert Park Hotel. It sure is the place to see and be seen.

Also close to Albert Park, is the Albert Park! It is Melbourne’s premier sports, aquatic and recreation park with its stunning lake and cityscape views. The park is home to the annual Australian Grand Prix. A walk or ride around the lake or along the nearby beach when staying in Albert Park is a must. Bikes and scooters can be hired using the Lime or Uber Apps.

Another local attraction, just an easy tram ride away, is the South Melbourne Market and all the great Clarendon Street shops, cafes and restaurants. The market is another must visit for fabulous food and fantastic bargains.
