Just opposite to the train station, the lodge provided self checkin services, you can easily get the key and relax in the lodge. The ground floor provide hot water and a snack machine which is very convenient. The room and toilet was very clean and we felt very comfortable staying there.

Un concept pratique, un motel.
La réservation automatique et le concept fonctionne bien. Endroit très propre. Tout le nécessaire. Bien chauffé. Face à la gare sans que le train soit une nuisance. Ce qu'il faut savoir : salle de bain et wc à l'extérieur de la chambre ( commun) pas de bouilloire dans la chambre, pas de serviette dans la chambre ( on ne sait pas si elles sont pour notre chambre). Entre le concept des hôtels japonais et un motel américain low cost.

Sehr geehrter Gast, die Gästezimmer sind ohne Frühstück auf Expedia ausgeschrieben. Auf dem Brünig hat es 3 Restaurants wo man Frühstück bekommen kann. Wenn man die Preise für Gäste Zimmer in der Region vergleicht haben wir ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistung Verhältnis. Mit freundlichen Grüssen Ruben Anderegg

omschrijving kamer niet correct
De kamer was netjes, klein maar in orde.Inchecken moet je via een scherm doen in de lodge maar dit gaat heel vlot.Badkamer is modern en netjes schoon, maar deze was niet bij de kamer. Je moest de openbare gang doorlopen op het einde en dan had je de privé badkamer met toilet. We hadden kamer met balkon geboekt, maar dit is niet privé maar een balkon aan de voorzijde voor iedereen toegankelijk. Dan krijg je een mail dat je het basic ontbijt 24 uur op voorhand moet bestellen en dit wordt in een automaat klaargezet. Bij aankomst bleek er dus geen ontbijt te zijn en moet je maar ergens anders gaan ontbijten, terwijl ik wel per mail ontbijt besteld had.

Not bad- not great. Just stay away
We came to the hotel without knowing it was a self check-in, and there was no one to talk too. I'm sure it says so on the website, but I think it should be specified better. We wanted to park and didn't knew where, the screen of the self check-in showed us the parking next to the restaurant, and after we parked there, they kicked us out saying they don't work with your lodge and we can't park there. Confuse we have no one to talk too, we just parked next to the lodge. Funny thing is, a day after we got a mail from the lodge telling us where to park- too late don't you think? We also got the room with the kitchen, but the same mail said we cant cook in our rooms! really? Didn't make sense at all... Overall the place was clean, but then we took one pot and a cockroach run from it. We also put a sign- ''do not disturbe'' on the door before we left the room for the day and we came back to a room that was 'cleaned'- someone got into it anyway, ignoring our request for privacy. That same someone found dirty socks that do not belong to us from under the bed and put it on our bed as it was ours! disgusting!!! Overall not the worst experience, but I would not recommend it.

Dear Orif. Thank you for your comments - although through this channel. With the booking confirmation the guests get my phone number, so why did you not call me to discuss this matter? In the "at a glance" on the website of hotels.com we are very clearly declared as a self check in accommodation, which means that the guests are aware of this when they book the rooms. Yes of course the owner of the restaurant next door is a different company, one parking lot belongs to me and so far I know they never kicked away anybody at all. So why did you not park in front of the house? By the way cockroaches only appear where there is food and since we have no food at all in the rooms I am curios about this, but I will investigate this matter. On this day we had a change of cleaning people, so I apologize about the ignoring the request of privacy, they just tried to make our guests happy with a clean room. Over all you say the room was clean. It is very hard to believe that because of the parking and a aperently sock, the room was such an awful experience. Kind regards. Ruben Anderegg

Good and cheap stay while visiting close cities
The owner should check more regularly the cleaning and services that is done by 3rd parties. Our bathromm didn't have any soap (we had to use shampoo for washing hands), and also the bin was not emptied from before, and even after cleaning there were hairs on the floor on both bathroom and the room. Besides, although we had our own bathroom, but be aware the bathroom is not in the room and you have to path the hallway to reach to your bathroom.

Très bien pour une soirée d’eta
Très bien pour une soirée d’etape. L’hôtel est au bord de la route, heureusement pas trop bruyante. Nous avions une chambre familiale très spacieuse. La décoration est moderne et sobre. A noter qu’il n’y a pas de personnel, ni de réception. Le check-in se fait via un automate, très simple d’utilisation. Salle commune pour se préparer un petit repas et un petit déjeuner. Il est possible de commander un petit déjeuner à l’avance (non testé). Supermarchés à Meiringen (10 minutes en voiture).

Very comfortable
The check in was all just electronic.. there is no front desk, so no one to talk to about the area. But, it was very easy to get checked in. The room was very nice with comfortable beds and all very clean. The location is right on a main road which was sort of a bummer. But it wasn’t busy and loud at night. All the restaurants in Meirengen are pretty expensive. But we were able to get food at a grocery store and cook in the microwave in the lobby of the hotel which was nice. We loved hiking around Lungern!!! What a beautiful lake!!!

Dear Sue, thanks for your nice review. All my guests get an automatic mail from me at Arrival day, with the information that I am available for tour planing in the morning. So far no guests asked for this service I realy love to provide. Yes you are right the restaurants in the area are quite expensive. Thats why I created this concept where the guests can decide to eat in restaurants or prepare their own meal in the longe. Our Infrastucture in the lounge covers almost all specrum of modern cooking. Idyllic Mountain Getaway
Our trip to the Brunig Lodge was very enjoyable. Everything is automated, making the check in process super easy and the room easy to access. Our room was a little smaller than advertised and the bathroom was not attached; however it was still private. The area is beautiful, there are many cool hikes and recreational activities nearby. Overall we had a very pleasant and memorable night at the Brunig Lodge.

Excellent value, 20 min out of Interlaken
We had a great time at the Brunig Lodge. There was free parking, a well-designed bathroom, and a clean and modern room with comfortable beds. Breakfast and coffee were always available in the lobby area. We had no problems with check-in, and the owner was easily accessible by text/calling (he personally checked how we were while cleaning every day). Only complaints would be the close proximity to the noisy road and having to go through a hallway for our bathroom, but overall for the price, it was a nice stay.

Rent, snyggt, rymligt, smidig incheckning utan problem, bra sängar, bra parkering, mycket prisvärt, egen toalett och dusch i vårt familjerum. Det negativa var att eftersom det var varmt ute blev det varmt i rummet. Eftersom vägen utanför var rätt trafikerad och järnvägsstationen bara rakt över gatan så gick det inte att ha fönstren öppna under natten.

The room, location and view was exceptional. The hotel is only across the road from the station, the view out of the window is the mountains. Only dislike is that the bathroom is not adjacent to the room, although it was a private bathroom, we had to walk in the hallway to reach it and someone would occasional smoke smelling the hallway of cigar and pipe smell which was just unpleasant when coming out of the shower

동화같은 브리니그로지
3층 다락방에서 동화같은 하룻밤을 보냈어요. 엔틱한 분위기가 정말 좋았어요. 밤하늘 별은 무수히 떨어졌어요. 청결하고 따뜻하고 불편함없이 정말 잘 잤어요. 무인호텔이지만 운좋게 주인과 이야기도 나눴어요. 정말 친절하고 멋진분이에요. 길 안내도 해주시고 그곳에 사는것이 행복해 보이는 인상이었어요. 동화같은 하룻밤 원하신다면 추천합니다~

Wir wurden von der Brünig Lodge positiv überrascht. Zuerst erschraken wir wegen der alten Fassade, im Gebäudeinneren ist jedoch alles modern renoviert, sehr sauber und gepflegt. Werden das nächste Mal wieder dort übernachten.

Tres belle surprise !
Le self check-in est extremement pratique et efficace ! La chambre etait tres confortable, avec beaucoup de cachet et meme une kitchenette et tout le confort. Une tres belle vue sur les montagnes environnantes. Proximite directe de la gare, meme si les pistes sont a 20min de bus.
