"OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "All the staff we met were friendly and professional. Special mention to Chiara (hope I’ve spelt that right) who was on reception 1pm Saturday 30/5/26 and Sunday morning: Thank you for sorting out our early check in request so we could attend a family event on time. The breakfast service staff were a delight too as were the vegetarian options with some clearly marked as vegan (croissants) which was perfect and having plant-based sausages without having to wait for them to be made to order was...

This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back. "

Stunning decor with lots of character and interesting items to look at around the property. Host was warm and welcoming when I arrived. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again and have already started recommending to friends."
