We used to come here often and had wonderful experiences, but had not been in 6 years. Management had changed.
We were told there wasn’t a burn ban the day we booked, but found out there was the day we arrived so we had to purchase a grill on the way
We had to move cabins due to a large family constantly yelling at each other. We believe they were family of the staff. We did appreciate the staff accommodating us. It didn’t appear that anyone was maintaining the public bathhouse We stayed Sunday to Wednesday and bathrooms were never cleaned and garbage was not taken out.
There were no dumpsters near our cabin, at least that we could find.
The hot tub and pool were not maintained or warm. We had seven stray cats that would hang around our cabin and beg for food; this was a bit uncommon when trying to grill and eat.
The general store was closed Monday and Tuesday which was a bit inconvenient since it was most of our trip.We had to go into town for items they sold in the store, at least they used to sell them.
The hiking trail is as I remember. This made the trip worth it. My family enjoyed fishing, even though the water was low.
We love to visit Love Creek Orchard near by in Medina.
I’m hoping it was just an off week, but we still recommend this resort.
Overall, we had a good time. We had been there several times so we knew what to expect staying in the cabins there, but if it’s your first time in a bunkhouse make sure you prepare well, so you do not have to drive to town.
