"We had a wonderful stay at this cozy little cabin on the lake. Thoughtfully designed, it included everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Inside, the classic Minnesota cabin aesthetic came through beautifully—plenty of pine tongue-and-groove paneling and charming wildlife decor set the tone.What really surprised me was the variety of waterfowl on the lake. As a lifelong Minnesotan, I spotted several birds I couldn’t even identify, which says something!I titled this a "Diamond in the Rough"...

"We had a wonderful, relaxing getaway. We loved the boathouse--cute, quaint, and right on the water. The air conditioning worked well and was a life-saver in the hot, humid weekend weather. The owners were friendly, responsive to questions, and communicated well. No real swimming area at the property (unless you went further out into the lake), but it was a lot of fun to take advantage of the provided kayaks and paddleboards. Short (15-20 minute) drive into Northfield or Faribault for...

"Hosted a bachelor party with 8 of my friends. It was the perfect place for us to relax yet still have things to do. The basketball court is tons of fun and it was awesome to jump in the lake right after. There is some sand and it’s up kept very well. There’s a nice doc and some water toys to use. Inside we took full advantage of the pool table and great TV room. There’s plenty of places to sleep for everyone. The hosts were awesome - communicated very quickly and made everything effortless. "Plenty of fish were caught from the dock, coffee and snacks were enjoyed on the spacious deck overlooking the lake, games and our sit-down Saturday night dinner at the kitchen table - all contributed to time together for our busy family. Kitchen supplies/organization fantastic. Only issue was bunk beds and loft in the same room. Access to upper beds didn’t work for our ages, mobilities, so two of us slept in living room, but it was a small detraction from our long, relaxing weekend together."

It’s become for us, our home away from home, a place where our shoulders go down the moment we arrive. The owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful in how they prepare for and communicate with guests. It’s always clean and furnished in a way that lends itself to good sleep and relaxation. It’s also conveniently located, within a few blocks of campus, the Weitz Center, or downtown....

"We came for a family gathering, coming from Alaska, Colorado, and Minnesota. The house was perfect for our group. We had two year olds to 70-year-olds and it was the perfect set up. Gregory is an awesome host, very responsive and accommodating. The house is beautifully equipped. We cooked dinners for our group of 11 and had everything we needed. We walked to the swimming beach, to town, and The Cool Wave coffee shop. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this wonderful property."

"Molbec Retreat was a perfect spot for my son and I to stay while he was at SSM for camp. The house was very homey, clean, organized, and had all the amenities that we needed. A perfect blend of craftsmanship with modern updates. A huge bonus was being able to park in the garage. Rebecca was very responsive to my questions about Faribault. We would stay again!"
