Very Nice, Clean and Spacious Home in Silver Lake. Perfect Location.

Hi, my name is Mindy. I’m mom of one and “Nini” to two amazing grandson’s. I am retired and a year round resident of Silver Lake. I open my home up to guests for 6-8 weeks each summer. During this time, I stay with my daughter who also lives in Silver Lake. Renting my home out to guests for a limited amount of time each summer allows me to live here year round. My guests have been wonderful and some return year after year. It has been a very easy and pleasant experience.
Enjoy all the comforts of home, with nice furniture, comfy beds and living spaces. Located in the middle of it all and situated on 3 lots and Hunter Creek which feeds into beautiful Silver Lake. It is a very nice, clean and spacious 2,370 sq. ft., two story cottage home with an open floor plan. There are 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. 1 full bathroom with a shower is located on the first floor. A 1/2 bath is on the upper level, between two of the three upstairs bedrooms.
Bring your kayak and/or canoe and take off from the back yard and paddle your way right into Silver Lake. Hunter Creek has been shallow the past few years. So, for those of you who have a large boat, there is a public boat launch just at the end of W. Taylor and N. Shore Rd., you can drop it off and bring your trailer back to the house. If you don't have a kayak or boat, you can rent one from the Wave Club which is just down the street. At this time, there are no open boat slips available to dock your boat on Silver Lake. We are hoping this will change in the near future.
We are located right next to the Silver Village Assoc. path that leads to a pedestrian bridge that crosses Hunter Creek. Just a short walk across the bridge and up a dirt road leads you to the private Silver Village Assoc. pool and playground. Swim in the SVA private pool (scheduled days/times). Watch as people enjoy the zip line, drop tower and go carts at Craig's Cruisers. Walk across the street and eat lunch or dinner at The Chicken Shack, Smashed Burgers, MI Base Camp or Silver Scoops. Golden Bakery is where you can find yummy donuts, cinnamon rolls and breads. The Silver Lake State Parks, Silver Lake Sand Dunes and ORV access and parking are about a mile away. Don’t forget to ride on the dunes at Mack Woods Dune Rides! Our beautiful Little Sable Pointe Lighthouse and stunning Lake Michigan beach is less than 2 miles away. So many other places to enjoy are just a short drive, too!

~NO PETS ALLOWED.
~NO SMOKING inside the home. Outside, safely dispose of your butts.
~Garbage pick up is on Monday mornings by 6:00a.m. So, take the garbage out to the road @ end of driveway on SUNDAY EVENING!
~We keep the a/c set at a comfortable 72 temperature. Keeping it at this temp will keep the costs down for all of us.
-As a courtesy, we will start you off with 4 rolls of toilet tissue and 1 roll of paper towels. You will supply the rest.
-If you run out of propane for the bbq grill, take the empty tank to one of the gas stations and exchange for a full one. Leave the receipt on the kitchen counter and I will reimburse you through your VRBO booking.

*IMPORTANT! The housekeeping crew will be there at 11:00 sharp to clean the bathrooms, make the beds and do the laundry before the next guests arrive at 3:00. PLEASE! Pick up after yourselves and leave the home and property in the condition it was when you arrived. Thanks so much!

~MORNING CHECK OUT is by 11 a.m.~
You will find a vacuum and broom in the utility closet as well as in upstairs hallway. All of the cleaning supplies you will need is in the laundry area.

~PLEASE, strip ONLY the sheets/pillowcases from the beds and put downstairs in front of the washer/dryer area in the kitchen.
-Housekeeping will inventory quilts/comforters, switchover with replacements stored in sunroom area and take them off site to wash/dry.
~Place all wet/dirty towels in a laundry basket in front of the washer or inside the shower.
~Dust. Pick up. Vacuum and sweep the floors.
~Do NOT leave any dishes in the sink. Wash/dry and put away.
~Do NOT leave opened food in the refrigerator. Dispose of the food or take it with you.
-Any unopened food is okay to leave for the next family, if you wish to do so.
~CLEAN the yard/deck.
-CLEAN THE BBQ GRILL. Please, do NOT clean the grates in the kitchen sink or shower! There is a garden hose on the side of the house you can use to clean them. Don’t leave it dirty for the next guests!

NOTE: If you decide to return to Silver Lake and rent my home again, I only rent it out for 6-8 weeks each summer and block the rest of calendar. Therefore, to ensure you get your desired dates, booking your vacation AT LEAST 4 months in advance is highly recommended.
