Koosah Falls, twin sister to Sahalie Falls. Sahalie is a Chinook word with a variety of meanings, among them "heaven," or "upper" (as in upper falls). The missionaries to the region apparently used the phrase Sahalie Tyee (Heaven Chief) to convey the word "God" to the indigenous people.
