Summary:
Welcome to "Sunset Mountain Chalet"! It’s simply awesome! Serenity defined. Absolutely beautiful mountain chalet with peaceful 360 views. You feel like you’re all alone on top of a mountain, yet you are 5 minutes to Wisp Resort and Deep Creek Lake! We challenge you to find a more peaceful sunset view than from the deck of our chalet. Enjoy the hot tub, the welcoming space inside or around the 3acres. If you have snow--invite all your friends and kids over for the sledding!
The Space:
This house has it all, and is fully updated with new granite kitchen, and all 3 tiled showers. Enjoy the amazing sunsets from the hot tub, deck or spacious great room! Equipped with two giant 75" TV's, and basement filled with ping pong, foosball and darts.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to everything. Kitchen is equipped with all essential cooking equipment. Hot Tub towels are in the basement hall linen closet. Board games in the media center below the great room TV. Garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels in the kitchen hall closet.
The Neighborhood:
You are alone on top of Wes Mountain with over 3 acres! You are 2.8 miles to Wisp and Deep Creek Lake. 10 Miles to Swallow Falls State Park. 7 miles to McHenry (Grocery, Beverage, Restaurants). 15 miles to downtown Oakland (Walmart, Lowes)
Getting Around:
Highly recommended in winter to have a 4x4 vehicle. It snows often. The Wes Mountain road is plowed, and the driveway is steep but will be plowed. How else will you get to the amazing tranquility and beauty on top of the mountain?
Other Things to Note:
There is absolutely NO SMOKING in or around the house. Please respect this policy. If we find evidence of smoking (cigarette butts), unfortunately, we will have to charge you up to $500 penalty.
We do have security cameras outside the home at the entrance and pointed to the driveway.
We welcome your dogs, but we do charge a $75/fee per dog. Please do not leave any food or trash outside. And when you leave, make sure the trash is sealed in bags and put securely in the trash bins attached to the garage. The Deep Creek Lake area has lots of wildlife (including bears), so we do not want to invite them near our home!
CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
Checkout is 10am. Please be sure to have all dishes CLEANED and PUT BACK into the cupboards. The cleaning people are not responsible for dishes. Please also take all trash outside and put into the two large bins next to the garage. Garage pickup is every Tuesday and Friday.
Trash - should be collected and put inside the garage door on the left. It gets windy, and we don't want it to blow away!
Bedding: please leave the bedding. The cleaners will take care of all bedding. Please do not even make the beds!
Gray Towels - please pile used bath towels on the floor in the bathrooms. The cleaners will wash them and get them ready for the next guests.
Beach/hot tub color/white stripe towels - these are a courtesy if you forgot yours. They are not included in our cleaning contract. If you use, please wash, fold, and return them to the basement linen closet.
Dishes - PLEASE CLEAN ALL dirty dishes/pans and return to the appropriate cupboards. The cleaners are not responsible for the dishes, and this has become an issue at other Airbnb's. Please, please, please clean the dishes and put them back in appropriate places.
