The Toasted Marshmallow is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 6 Nigerian dwarf goats, 5 sheep & three chubby dogs.

The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted.

Perfect getaway!

We stayed here for a weekend on my boyfriendā€™s birthday and it was absolutely perfect! Place was clean and check in was so easy. The dogs were the highlight of our stay!! Along with the hammock and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

The absolute best getaway

My wife and I had the most amazing experience, the owners were amazing and so kind and were willing to stop and chat with us. We r had so much privacy and got to see and love so many animals. This was a great experience, the house is so cute and so put together. 100% will be back!

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful long weekend here. It was very clean and well appointed. Perfect for two people. The host was great at responding to any questions most times within minutes. The host was also great at respecting privacy, being out of sight out of mind. They let us know they were around and available if necessaryā€¦but otherwise not seen. And the animalsā€¦so fun and friendly. Dogs, cats and sheepā€¦oh my!!! How fun to start the day giving crackers to the sheep! 10/10 would stay again

So peaceful

My wife and I have had a trying time lately with family issues and we desperately needed a small getaway. This place was perfect for that. As we are animal lovers we were greeted by the cutest cats, the most friendliest dogs and goats a plenty! Once night came it was quiet and peaceful and you could see every star in the sky. Thank you all so much! This was exactly what we needed!

Perfect solo/couples stay

This cute little cabin was the most perfect place for our Valentineā€™s Day weekend. I loved seeing the dogs running around and they cats were very sweet too. It was so nice and private, but for being on a working farm there should be less sheer curtains (my only complaint!) I also appreciated the free WiFi because there was spotty service. Otherwise we had an amazing time and I recommend this to others!!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

This cabin was perfect for a solo getaway to recharge. The cabin was adorable, very clean and had everything I needed. The property was wonderful, especially for an animal lover. I met a darling orange cat, 3 dogs, baby sheep, mama sheep and goats. Location was great, just outside McArthur and Zalenski. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our time here. Serene and beautiful, complete with so many fur friends. Toasted Marshmallow was perfect for the two of us. We relaxed in the hot tub in the morning and had a fire in the evening. Thanks so much for the fire woods.

Great Stay

Got to see three dogs, two cats, and so many goats! The puppies played outside our windows for the last few hours of our stay. The cats came right up when we first arrived. Definitely the place to be if you love animals!

Toasted Marshmallow Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the property. The scenery was beautiful and the animals on the property were so friendly. We enjoyed having the hot tub to relax in. The only thing we would have liked is curtains on the windows that are not so sheer so windows are covered more especially at night and while in the bathroom for showers etc.

Relaxing and Quiet

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in The Toasted Marshmallow for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The host messaged me the morning I was due to attive with helpful info for check-in, and location info. They were able to accommodate us arriving an hour early as well. When we arrived, I went straight for the sheep and goats! We were also greeted by an adorable little black dog and a calico cat.They were both super friendly, and you can tell they have been trained to stay out of the cabin because they never went further than the porch. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend getaway. The cabin is on the edge of their farm, but it's so quiet. The only noise we heard came from the animals, which is always welcome.

Amazing stay

Had an amazing stay at toasted marshmallow. It was our first time in Hocking hills. The place was clean and the show was warm. The hot tub and animals were def a highlight of our trip. Would recommend and would stay again.
