"While the exterior of the hotel could use a bit of an update and some more shaded areas, the inside completely makes up for it. The parking lot was clean, and as soon as we walked in, we noticed the lobby, hallways, and our room were spotlessly clean. Plus, there was none of that weird 'hotel smell' you get at a lot of places! The staff we interacted with were incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and made the check-in and check-out process an absolute breeze. We also really liked the indoor pool;...

"We were informed in almost unintelligible English that they did not have a room available when we arrived and the desk clerk was either unable or unwilling to articulate what we would have to do in order to get a refund. Even though not having a room was definitely not a good thing, a positive element was that the place looked so sketchy we were almost glad we couldn't stay there."

"The breakfast worker (Lisa?) was fabulous - so helpful and efficient and kind. My only complaint was the excessive amount of pigeon poop all over the entrance. This seems to be a design flaw with the overhang, as it seems to be a problem at Fairfield Inns I have stayed at. Other than that, FI's are great."

"Old place that the owners have made pretty nice. Would rate much higher but the beds were terrible. Plenty to like about what they are doing but was tough to get a good night's sleep. Coworker in another room felt the same."

"Passing through, needed a good place to get food and sleep before heading back out in the am. The good parts…ample parking, were able to park outside our room. We were provided with a clean comfortable bed. Attached restaurant was handy. Buffet breakfast was great! The bad parts… The room old, smelly, chair badly stained, air conditioner did not work. Service at restaurant was not good. Did not live up to its rating as a 3 star hotel."

"It’s a bottom line hotel, pretending to be something different. If it wasn’t new, I would’ve left and drove till I found something more suitable. Union Pacific is very large in the area and they have numerous hotels like this one and it houses the workers. Not really a vacation destination."

"Cheryl was awesome upon check-in. This motel is American-owned and operated, centrally located within North Platte, with plenty of local food establishments within walking distance. 10/10 would return travelling through Nebraska."
