"It was a strange set up but it worked great for us. We didn’t see staff for more than a few minutes the entire week stay. No frills, for sure, but that helps keep the price down. Location is fantastic. Very close to the beach and we even had a little bit of a view! Parking lot gets full but we always managed to get parking. My kids loved the pool. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the proximity to the beach (literally 90 second walk), which meant soothing wave noises at night and easy beach hangs. "First of all, my husband and I have stayed in at least a dozen different units at Napili Shores over the past 20 years. We are huge fans of this resort and do not stay anywhere else on Maui. This unit was the most modern and upgraded by far. The furnishings, decorations, bathroom, etc. were all very comfortable and nice, and we greatly appreciated the chairs, coolers, and beach umbrella to use. "Location of unit is fantastic! Just steps from the shoreline, we watched whales from our deck. "This is without a doubt a 10/10 place to stay. Carol is a phenomenal host and sets the bar high as far as hosts go. The location was perfection, and the condo itself was immaculate, stocked with everything, and as cozy and spacious as they come! Kahana Sunset cannot be beat; it’s most definitely a hidden gem in West Maui. Honestly couldn’t think of a negative about the place or our experience even if we tried.
