"This house lives up to its billing and reviews.  The isolation- even from neighbors- was wonderful, and the cabin quite comfortable.  Everything was nice and new.  We were impressed with the size of the kitchen, and were able to cook some elaborate meals.  The one night we didn't have cloud cover the sky was mind-blowing.  Even though the house is 500 road miles from our home, it's likely we'll come back."

"We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning."

"Cabin right on the page was perfect. Lake is gorgeous. View is 180. Beautiful deck and furniture. Cabin is updated and lovely. Kitchen is nicely sized and very well furnished. Bathroom is also nicely sized and very nice. Living room is very comfortable, well sized, lots of windows, good tv... all good. Bedroom is small but very workable, bed is very comfortable. Host was very nice. "

"We had an awesome stay at Little Bay Retreat! The place is immaculately clean and so comfortable as a home base for exploring this area of DownEast Maine. The views from the deck are constantly changing with the tide, so much to just sit and enjoy. "The house was perfect. The location was perfect. Overall the weather was pretty good for mid October. Got lobster on two different occasions from a local fisherman and it was fantastic. The only complaint we had was the local property manager was not very responsive. Other than that this property is a 10 out of 10. "

"Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels...

"Beautiful house right on the beach in quiet neighborhood. Spacious rooms with lots of windows with spectacular views. Great kitchen, fully stocked with everything we needed, including lobster pots. "What a truly awesome experience! From the moment we booked our stay and throughout our vacation, communication was excellent and Charlie & Sandy were gracious, generous, and extremely hospitable hosts, making sure our needs were met, we were comfortable, and our expectations were exceeded! Jonesport is the perfect town for a quiet getaway with plenty of opportunities for fun and adventure. This was our second time staying here and we are already making plans to return!!"

"We arrived after dark and a long day of traveling so finding the keys and getting into the house was a little tricky but the house was warm and cozy. The views the next morning were beautiful and better than expected. Frisky Fish was our home base for sightseeing further north and into Canada. The house was exactly what we needed and we would love to come back in warmer weather to really be able to enjoy the beach and outdoor activities. "
