"September 6-8, we had a great time at Roger's cabin. We came specifically to take the train ride in Cass. The cabin was very nice, clean, comfortable, roomy, had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch which had a gate to keep our dog from wandering. Also had a zip line leash for dogs, and water bowls. We noticed no fire wood there, so we didn't use the fire pit. Perhaps because it's been so dry there. We had some confusion about which driveway was the correct cabin, but...

"We were visiting Marlinton, WV to bicycle ride the Greenbriar Trail. This house was perfect as you could ride to the trail within a few minutes. The house is also close to restaurants and a bike shop. The bed was very comfortable. The bed and bathroom linens were excellent. There is a cute kitchen with all the equipment you would need for a meal. Also chilled mugs for your beer. Overall we had a great stay and will be recommending to our friends. "

"AMAZING! Hot tub was awesome, location is quiet and beautiful, the deck was lovely, kitchen had all we needed. It was great - highly recommend! The only issue - which is not the host’s fault - there is no cell service anywhere around there so print out driving directions! Your cell’s gps wont work for about a 30-minute radius of the home."

They do send you very detailed directions, but if you are wholly unfamiliar with the area, it can be a little unsettling to be on winding roads outside of civilization with no cell service. "The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting....
