The Home

Marengo Views accommodates up to 8 guests across 3 bedrooms, with two separate living areas and an upstairs family retreat.

The ocean is at the heart of the home. Watch waves move across the reef, look out for seals around the sanctuary, or simply settle in and enjoy the sound of the ocean throughout the day and night.

Marengo Views is owner-operated, and our family stays here regularly too. We want it to feel like a home, not just a holiday rental, so we keep an eye on what needs replacing, topping up or improving. We also take guest feedback seriously and act on suggestions where they make sense.

Master Bedroom

A spacious master bedroom with a new king bed and bedside tables, plus two private balconies.

The undercover east-facing balcony is ideal for morning coffee and sunrise views, while the south-facing balcony overlooks Harrison’s Beach and the surrounding coastline.

Seals are often seen around the marine sanctuary, while surfers regularly catch waves at Marengo Point.

Bedroom Two

A quiet queen bedroom with a new queen bed and bedside tables, overlooking the garden and naturally cooler during summer.

The spacious upstairs retreat includes:

The upstairs work area has a desk and chair positioned beside the large ocean-facing picture window.

A second, quieter downstairs workspace is equipped with:

Explore the Area

Marengo Views is located in the peaceful seaside village of Marengo, around five minutes from Apollo Bay on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road.

It offers the best of both worlds: beaches, reefs and nature on your doorstep, while Apollo Bay is only minutes away.

Walk to:

• Harrison’s Beach — 2–3 minutes
• Marengo Rock Pools — approximately 3 minutes
• Great Ocean Walk access — around 3 minutes
• Marengo Main Beach — approximately 600 metres / 8 minutes

Apollo Bay’s cafés, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, galleries, shops and harbour are around a five-minute drive away. A coastal walking trail also connects Marengo with Apollo Bay.

The surrounding coastline is home to seals, seabirds and marine life, and depending on the season and conditions you may also spot dolphins or migrating whales. Rosellas, king parrots and cockatoos regularly visit the area.

Marengo Views is also a convenient base for exploring the Great Ocean Road, Great Otway National Park, Cape Otway, Gibson Steps and the Twelve Apostles.

Things to Know Before Booking

Access & Stairs

Marengo Views is a split-level home with several staircases, including approximately 25 steps from the carport to the main entrance.

The home is best suited to guests comfortable using stairs and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations or difficulty carrying luggage.

Driveway & Parking

Parking is available in the covered carport, driveway and on the street.

The driveway is moderately steep in sections, so guests should take care when entering and reversing. Motion-activated lighting and reflectors assist with visibility at night.

Guests with very low-clearance vehicles may prefer street parking.

Check-In & Check-Out

• Standard check-in is from 3:00 pm
• Standard check-out is by 10:00 am
• Where there is a same-day guest changeover, including during busy periods such as Victorian school holidays, public-holiday weekends and other peak periods, check-in may be from 4:00 pm to allow additional time for cleaning and preparation
• Where a 4:00 pm check-in applies because of a same-day guest changeover, check-out for that reservation will be extended to 11:00 am
• If the home is ready earlier, we will let you know as soon as early access is available
• Self check-in via smart lock
• Early check-in and late check-out beyond the applicable times may be available subject to the booking schedule
