"I stayed at Nakanku Lodge from mid January to mid February 2024 accompanied by my little Maltese dog, Lulu. Everything was wonderful! The tropical garden setting was beautiful. I loved the pool and easy proximity to beaches. The outdoor kitchen was so fun as it generated opportunities for community and conversations with other guests. Gary was a super host! Hope to return next winter! Pura vida!"

"I stayed for 8 nights at this property on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is located off the beaten track, hidden away on some rough backroads, but was a gem and a perfect paradise to house my family of 5 — 3 adults and 2 kids, aged 13 and 9. The property had everything we were hoping for — a pool, a BBQ, a modern kitchen, WiFi, and Costa Rican wildlife around the property. The closest village - Marbella - has some basic supplies which is a few minute drive away. A variety of beaches are...

"Small, cozy, friendly, quiet....we stayed for a month in the jungle of Guanacaste with Gary and his dog, Wally! The pool is wonderfully shady in the afternoons, Gary is a warm and friendly host, helpful and kind. We were looking for someplace near to beaches, great sunsets, and no crowds....meeting the locals, shopping the local markets, etc. This is the perfect spot to just sit back and relax."
