The property is very beautiful and has great ammenities. I have stayed at many Vrbo rentals and have some concerns. The dock is a shared dock with campsites that are on the same proprerty as this rental. It was not a problem, but as there were others using the dock when we arrived, it was a surprise when we were not expecting it. This property is rented through a realtor, there is no one checking the state of the property before guests arrive. It needs a deep, thorough clean and walk through. There are cobwebs and spiders everywhere. While I do realize this will happen outside, the dock is covered in cobwebs and spiders, there shouldn't be spiders and cobwebs in the windows of the kitchen! All of the baseboards, shelves, and closet shelves are full of dust. The room I stayed in had an attached bath, the shower had a hole around the showerhead. The sink faucet was loose and moved around. While this property has so much potential to be great; small changes and awareness need to be addressed. The lock was broken when we got there, resulting in me having to call the contact. We did get a resolution, but after the contact had to call and ask someone else how to enter the property. The air conditioner was off when we got there, it was 88 degrees in the house and did not cool off until the sun went down. The first impression was a little unsettling. Property info inside of the house needs to be updated: wi-fi-had to call for PW. leaving instructions conflicted with email

First thing when we arrived I followed the instructions & the keypad on the door didnā€™t work, after multiple attempts I called the property owner & was told it was broken & a key was hidden somewhere (this should have been communicated prior) found the key after a search because she wasnā€™t sure where it was or which door it opened. After we hung up, I realized that this door knob couldnā€™t be opened from the outside at all without the key, thank goodness one of us was in the house because the key was inside. I called her back because we shouldnā€™t have had to worry about making sure we had the key everytime we needed to get into the house, she told me she would have her husband handle it & get a new knob or keypad.. I never heard from the woman again. We figured out how to use the sliding door and only used that door the whole weekend which was fine but I find it super unprofessional that I never heard from her again about this. Other than that this house is in really poor shape & was definitely NOT thoroughly cleaned. It was flat out dirty & the pier on the water was absolutely filthy. The shower in the room I stayed in had a shower head that came out of a literal open hole in the wall and water was dripping back into the wall. I guarantee you there is mold in there, many of us had allergic reactions plus the AC is turned off when no one is there and mold thrives in that. This place isnā€™t worth the cost. We enjoyed the pier and the views but thatā€™s it. Wouldnā€™t recommend.

Traditional Easter Vacation

For the past 18 years, our family has taken a weekend vacation to Toledo Bend. The place we normally would stay has just become too small for our growing family. However, this place had more than enough room for us to all spread out and enjoy some down time. The only ā€œsurpriseā€ we had was that the wharf and boat launch is shared with a few camper spots along the road. We just werenā€™t aware of this, or we missed it in the description. It wasnā€™t a problem though as the guests that we did share it with were friendly. We would definitely recommend this place to large groups.

Loved it!!!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Itā€™s such a beautiful property inside and out, and the sunsets were absolutely stunning from the huge dock. The house manager was lovely and very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

FATHERS DAY TRIP

LOCATION WAS ON POINT! HAD A BOAT RAMP, WHICH WE LOVED. THE PLACE WAS JUST SO FILTHY. THE BBQ PIT WAS JUST A MESS. NO PROPANE TANK AND WE JUST REFUSED TO PUT OUR FOOD ON THAT GRILL. THE DECK OVER THE WATER WAS SO NICE BUT WE COULD NO SIT OUT THERE BECAUSE IT WAS SO DIRTY. JUST NEEDS A GOOD WASHING NOW AND AGAIN. THE HOUSE IS HUGE AND HAD PLENTY OF SPACE FOR US, JUST NOT THE CLEANEST PLACE.

Great location and a lot of space

This place was great. Easy check in, very friendly owner, and great location. It was 8 mins to the Toledo town & tackle if anything was needed. The only comment would be that the exterior porch area should be pressure washed. We had toddlers and we had to constantly worry about what they were touching because the exterior area was covered in bugs. Despite that, this double wide had tons of space, two living rooms, and a great view. We didnā€™t bring a boat but the added boat lunch at the property is definitely a plus. For the price, you canā€™t beat it. Thanks for the accommodations.

A comfortable camp in a beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay at Cypress Point. The camp is very comfortable and the ramp and dock overlooking the lake are outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful sunsets.

Wow! What a view!!!

This property has the best view!! The dock with swings was the perfect place to relax. The camp was very spacious, well kept and very clean! We absolutely loved it! The road getting to the property was pretty rough so drive carefully. I find this is very typical for the Louisiana side properties. It's a shame really. Once we got to the property the driveway with huge loop driveway made towing a boat in and out extremely easy. Thanks to the owners for sharing!! Truly a paradise! Jay & Misti

Plant Turnaround

Booked a stay at the Sabine Parish property for myself along with some family, friends, employees. We were in the area for a Plant Turnaround. The property was perfectly suited for our stay. The owners have managed to group everything together that allows for a group to get a bunch of work done. The house is large with plenty of bedrooms, televisions, and kitchen items. They have also constructed a floating dock and the nest lighted walkway to the dock, with plenty of power outlets and lighting. I'm not the best author for these reviews, but we highly recommend this property and will definitely return.
