Casa Papillon is a private 4-bedroom villa nestled in Manuel Antonio, offering stunning jungle views and a private waterfall pool. This luxurious villa comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests. The main house features two master suites, each with a king-size bed and a private bath equipped with a whirlpool tub. Two additional bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, share a spacious bathroom. The expansive open terrace invites you to a private cascading swimming pool and offers breathtaking mountain views. The villa includes a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor grill, and a hammock, ensuring a homely experience. Also included is a previously optional 1-bedroom studio apartment, which has a kitchenette and a private entrance, enhancing the space for larger groups. Casa Papillon is conveniently located about one mile from the main road to Manuel Antonio, close to shopping and dining options accessible by rental car or local taxis. Manuel Antonio National Park, renowned for its pristine beaches, is less than a 10-minute drive away. Our personal concierge is available to assist with ground transportation, tour bookings, and dining recommendations or reservations.

Awesome house and great host! However, we had multiple issues that I believe could have been avoided with some due diligence. The host was quick to respond and offer solutions, which helped, but it still impacted our overall experience.

What an awesome experience! The living spaces were perfect and the outdoor amenities couldn't be beat! Our personal concierge was indispensable, professional and accountable. Maria gave great recommendations and never let us down. If kitchens rock your world then you will probably be disappointed but it was fine for us. One word of advice is the power goes out a lot- daily and even left us without electricity all evening. It still wasn't on when we left for the airport the next day. Regardless, I can't wait to rent it again next year!

Great Pool and View

Our group of 8 stayed for 3 nights and the property had everything we needed and our concierge, Maria was very responsive and thorough. The home is centrally located and close to many restaurants and the supermarket. The rooms were clean and kitchen was supplied with the necessities. The place could use a few more pieces of furniture in the living/gathering area as there were not enough seats for our group to sit inside together, but we spent most of our time outside, so wasn’t too bad but we were all trying to watch a football game, which made it difficult. Overall a good experience.

Fantastic house

The house was huge. Plenty of room for all the family. There was six of us. It has a beautiful view of the rainforest and partial ocean view. Monkeys came to visit us on the porch in the morning. Very clean. Maria was very helpful. The air conditioning went out in the upstairs bedroom and Maria had it fixed super quick. She also gave advice on places to eat and activities. Close to restaurants, shopping, marina, parks and beaches. Highly recommend

Wonderful Location

Wonderful location Host was amazing Our family of 10 had a wonderful time we all agreed we’d go back to this location again. Far enough yet close enough to our needs. Even had a monkey join in the pool.

Enjoyed our stay!

This was a great lay out for a large group of 10 - 6 adults and 4 kids! The views were amazing. The kids loved the pool, and the adults liked the multiple master bedrooms and that a small grocery store was within walking distance. Maria was super helpful to book everything we needed. Property was a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go.

Pura Vida at Casa Papillon

We really enjoyed our trip to Costa Rica and our stay at Casa Papillon. The house is big and comfortable, with good sized bedrooms, very spacious and updated bathrooms, a beautiful two-tiered pool, and wonderful views of the rainforest and--far in the distance--the ocean. It also has a full-sized washer and dryer, which is handy. Our concierge, Andre, was extremely responsive and helpful to our needs. The road to get to the house and the driveway itself are narrow and sheer on the side, which is scary at first but that's Costa Rican roads in general. Just drive slowly and carefully. Our only complaint is that (at least when we booked) the pin on an online map showed this house to be next to another that our friends had rented at the same time, but turns out we were actually about a mile away, which came as a surprise when we arrived. Andre explained that because houses have names and not really numeric addresses, pins on Google maps, etc., can be inaccurate. So do your due diligence on location before you rent any house. However, Andre arranged for a taxi van to take us to and from our friends' rental whenever we wanted just by texting him, which was great and very much appreciated. Overall, it's a lovely house with great views and amenities and in a good location close to shops, groceries, liquor stores, a bank, and restaurants, and only a couple miles from the beach, marina, and the town Quepos. I would recommend.

Better than I could have imagined

Casa Papillion exceeded all of my expectations. I especially enjoyed having 24 hour concierge service to help with transportation, groceries, meals etc. We slept 9 adults comfortably with room to spare. The property was clean and exactly as described on the listing. The entire property was stunning especially the 2 pools and the incredible view. 10/10 recommend.

Great views, clean and very roomy!

Our family of 10 stayed for 5 nights. There was plenty of room for all of us plus more. The deck and pools were a highlight in the morning to watch the sunrise and in the evening to wind down. We needed a couple of things and they responded very quickly and took care of it quickly. We hired a private chief the last night which was awesome. The food was great and they cleaned up everything. The house was very clean and well equipped including towels for the pool. We saw two types of monkeys everyday, lots of iguanas and toucans flying around. The view was beautiful. You can see the ocean but barley. The beaches were about 10 minutes away by car. Lots of close places to eat and get groceries. We would definitely stay here again!

Worth the trip

Great experience, stunning views and the house is set up perfectly for all guests. Highly recommend adding the downstairs apartment to your trip to get the extra infinity pool.

Relaxing and secluded getaway

Overall, a nice place to have stayed. The best part of the property is the pool. Some appliances do not work correctly, and some toilets and showers didn’t work properly either. Regardless, the service was great, and the house was very enjoyable to relax and unwind.

Great house, helpful concierge!

We came with 5 adults and 5 kids 3 and under! The house worked out well and the pool was great for some energy burning! Frank was helpful with our initial grocery list since we arrived late and set up a great mangrove tour for us. He was responsive to a few requests we had over our 5 night stay, no issues! We drove there ourselves and arrived at night, the house would have been hard to get to without his help. He met us in Quepos and we followed him up to the house. Many lizards and monkeys seen right from our balcony! Easy to get to Manuel Antonio National Park and plenty of restaurants near by.

Amazing house

We had a great time at Casa Papillon. It was more than comfortable for the 8 of us traveling together. The deck and pool were our favorite places to hang out. The house is well appointed. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook. Frank was a huge help in making plans throughout the trip. Highly recommend this house. The views are amazing. Great location too.

Great Time with Family

We stayed at Casa Papillon for three nights and four days. The home was very spacious for our family of 4 and both sets of grand-parents. Our girls loved the top and bottom pools and the waterfall was awesome. Great views! Frank was very helpful and was able to answer all of our questions during our stay. Would love to come back and stay another time!

Complete Oasis

Casa Papillion is the complete Oasis with amazing sunrises and canopy views. Frank, the host, was very responsive and even calles to check on us during intense rains. The house was very clean, lots of clean towels and linens and a washer and dryer. Included all American amentities such as hot water, dishwasher, and a beautiful kitchen. Very spacious and comfortable home away from home. A few cautionary notes: - The driveway is steep and narrow with a drop off before the gate. You can get there with 2W drive, just choose a good manueverer for driving. - Casa Papillion is the house name, there are no addresses in Costa Rica. So when Ubering or taxiing, you refer the driver to "Casa Papillion".

Great views and hospitality

We had a great time staying at Casa Papillon. The house was very spacious and had such great views. We enjoyed sitting by the pool and watching the monkeys swing from the trees. We were also able to watch a few toucans hanging out at the neighbors house. Frank was very courteous and was able to have chilled champagne and groceries waiting for us. He was also very helpful with setting up excursions and getting taxis into town. Highly recommend this house for large parties. Secluded location. Some reviews said that you could walk into town from the house, but that was not the case for us. We thought it was a far/steep walk into town so we took taxis.

Wonderful family vacation

We just returned from a week at Casa Papillon. The house was lovely and well equipped. The maid came a few times during our stay and did a great job cleaning up. Frank was very helpful and greeted us upon arrival. He called every day to make sure we had groceries and booked our excursions. We were lucky to have two types of monkeys come visit us by the pool. The kids really enjoyed this! The driveway is steep.. but everything is in Costa Rica. If I had one complaint it would be that it was a little bit of a hike from the main road to get the restaurants by foot. We had to walk by a house that had left a lot of garbage outside all over the place which was upsetting to look at every day. This has nothing to do with this property at all, but made the walk a little less desirable. Thank you for a fabulous vacation at your home! We would definitely return. The house was kept immaculate.

Perfect Stay!

We were a group of six staying at Casa Papillon and the house was absolutely perfect for us. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious with nice furnishings. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The outside dining table fit six. The location is very good. We walked into town and could easily get a taxi back. The house concierge, Frank, met us upon arrival and was VERY responsive to any requests or problems we had. When we arrived there were only three pool lounge chairs and we asked Frank if he could bring us some more. The next morning two brand new lounge chairs were delivered. Some light bulbs needed replacement and Frank had someone there within 15 minutes to replace them. We told Frank we wanted to purchas fresh fish to grill and he called me the next morning with several options and later that afternoon our delicious fresh grouper was delivered. The grill was clean and worked perfectly. We all loved the pool. One friend is a birder and he loved watching birds from the porch. Frank arranged a national park tour for us and our guide was the best guide we have ever had! This was our friends’ first visit to Costa Rica and everyone loved Casa Papillon. We hope to stay there again and highly recommend it.

Beautiful and effortless stay

This home is as gorgeous as the photos - the pools were lovely, the master suite was simply out of this world. The kitchen was well stocked. We utilized the services that they provided which were seamless and easy. We loved the organized 'beach day' and our evening with the private chef - so worth it! The concierge aspect of this home rental really made a difference - they were attentive and prompt and very professional. Highly recommend this home for a large group! My only note would be... the driveway is formidably steep! You need a 4-wheel drive to get down the road and some nerves of steel to be able to park in the lot!
