"What a superb gem of a hotel. Location is ideal for travelling with plenty of car parking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of continental and superbly cooked and varied hot options. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. Originally booked one night travelling south and then decided to stay again a few nights later when travelling back. Will definitely be back."

"My friend and I stopped here overnight on our way to Cornwall. The area is beautiful and it's a nice old estate/manor. The rooms were clean, but a little dated. It must've been a wedding party that stayed overnight, as we heard all of them in the courtyard and hallways at 7 am, so the walls are extremely thin. Fine for a one night stay."

"Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. I’ve requested a refund from the hotel but they have not responded - I...

"Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again."

"The boutique hotel is very pretty. The staff is small but efficient, attentive and work very well together. They are always prepared to meet one’s demands. There are steep stairs to the beautiful room I chose but that was not a concern since the staff took care of my luggage. Thank you very much for all, especially Juliana since she is Brazilian and speak Portuguese 😃😃"

"Fantastic stay at the Telstar. Staff were so friendly when I arrived, showing me to my room. It was very clean, comfy and practical! Free parking is an absolute gem in Exeter, so was very grateful for that. I'll definitely stay again when I'm next down."

Sem falar na sacada que nunca foi limpa na vida. Tambem nao substituem os ammenities do banheiro. A recepcao tambem nao é nada simpatica. Staff muito fraca no geral. "

The bar and restaurant were clean and very well kept and decorated as well as the beer garden which I didn't use but could see from my room and it was beautiful to look out on to with the church just to the side of it! "O hotel além de lindo é histórico. A localização é perfeita. Tem estacionamento no hotel mas é necessário reserva, mas tem um estacionamento público bem próximo. O quarto é muito bem decorada, com uma cama macia e tamanho do quarto agradável. O hotel tem um área externa gostosa e agradável. Café da manha excelente e o restaurante é perfeito. "
