"My family and I had a few extra days to stay in Michigan and we found this available last minute 4th of July week. Honestly surprised it was with its location on a smaller quiet lake with a private beach and all the amenities needed for fun. I have 4 kids ages 8 and younger and all had bikes, life jackets for boat time, their own bed, and plenty of fun games and toys. "I booked a short stay, spur of the moment, and Peter was very kind and accommodating. He made the whole process extremely easy. The cottage is great! It sits right on Lower Herring Lake, so I had terrific views and complete lake access. The cabin is nicely appointed and has a spacious living room, and a very comfortable, cozy bedroom. The kitchen contains everything you need for your stay and the washer and dryer on the back indoor porch is an added bonus. I will be back!"

"My group of friends stayed in the cabin for a girls weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect. The cabin was very clean and had all the ammenities that we needed. The owners were wonderful hosts. They checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and to see if there were any issues. They even provided information on activities within the area and the river. Highly suggest spending time on the Betsie river, it was beautiful and relaxing, we even enjoyed the canoe."

"Relaxation and fishing close to Manistee. My husband was thrilled about driving down a two-track (long drive way) to the cabin/house.
