Whale watching at its best, sunsets you dream about. Located within 5 to 40 minutes of four nearby Mendocino towns, this beautiful two bedroom two bath home offers private access to the beach as well as access to a private catch and release fishing pond! With cedar walls throughout, cathedral ceilings and skylights you'll love the cozy yet spacious interior. LunaSky has a rustic, cedar cabin feel to it. Formal dining room, living room with fireplace, hot tub, and a brand new deck with panoramic views provide comfort and beauty wherever you sit. A brand new organic king sized bed faces the ocean view in the master and a queen bunk bed with 2nd bedroom with new, organic luxurious bedding. Dog friendly, maximum of 2 dogs allowed, Strictly enforced! Fully equipped kitchen, gas bbq, Roku tv, dvd, vcr, washer/dryer, movies, music and games all make you feel right at home.


Amenities: Newly refurbished beds & furniture, fireplace, DVD/VCR, fully stocked kitchen, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Cooking utensils, washer and dryer, private hot tub, access card to the gated Irish Beach, a six mile long sandy private beach.

The house is very cozy and has a beautiful view. When there was an issue with the hot tub, Miriam took care of it right away which was appreciated.If you plan to cook a lot, you may want to bring your own knives.

Happy 30th Birthday!

A beautiful stay at Irish Beach. A favorite place for the family. This house is so easy and comfortable. We love the local shop and easy access to Fort Bragg as well!

Nice house, great view

Nice house, great location, wonderful deck. Everything was as advertised. Really enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is that we had run ins with ants despite keeping all our food in plastic bags in the cupboards, they were aggressive. This isn't uncommon for the area, but it was unfortunate. The BBQ was hard to use as the gas pipes were rusted to the point that they had large holes so that most the flame came out in one location.

Great views, relaxing ambiance

My fiancé, friends and I had a lovely stay at Miriam’s home celebrating my 30th birthday. We relaxed in the hot tub, had yummy meals and took in all the views from the deck and master bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed and the barbecue worked perfectly! Although we spent a day adventuring in Point Arena and Fort Bragg, we left the weekend wishing we had spent even more time soaking in the comfort of the home. Irish beach was lovely and we also were able to horseback ride on the beach below the home. We already have plans to come back! Miriam was also very responsive when we had questions and check in was easy. Thank you Miriam.

Great, quiet seaside retreat

Property was very clean and host had great communication prior to arrival. The location was beautiful and we had a great time. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in northern California, quickly accessible to the beach and the mountains, this is the rental for you!

Amazing Spot

If you are looking for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle, this is it. Tremendous setting and cozy cabin with just enough space for three people and a small dog. It is an old build, so there are some quirks to electrical and hot water systems. Regardless of that, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cold house

The house is super cute…warm wood construction, cool rustic design, and great deck. Entertainment choices also appreciated. Access to the private beach was very nice! And the neighborhood was great to walk around with plenty of views along the way. We loved it all except for one thing…it was very cold on some nights. Our first 2 days were rainy and cold and the 2 space heaters were not enough to keep us comfortable. After the weather became sunnier, the house warmed up.

Quiet and cozy and just perfect!

After searching on VRBO for the perfect place to take our 21 year anniversary trip, we came across this lovely gem nestled up on a hill overlooking Manchester beach. The owners were kind enough to let us bring our dog and even had a crate (medium sized, not large) and bowls in case. We brought everything we needed but noticed it as a nice touch. The deck is absolutely charming with a hot tub around the corner affording privacy and shelter. The kitchen was decently stocked enough that i made homemade soup with no problems. The beach is either a steep hike or short drive winding down to the ocean. This area has really become a favorite for us, and Lunasky was a fabulous home base. My husband lost his phone on the beach on our second day there, but we gained excellent memories to cherish forever!

Relaxing place for time away

We enjoyed our 3 night stay in Manchester. Lots to do in the area, and this home is in a central location close to it all. Daily walks on the beach, hiking amongst the redwoods, wine tasting, climbing lighthouse stairs, all within an hour. Good communications with the host, a lovely view, and a quiet neighborhood.

Relaxing retreat within walking distance of the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property feels very homey. The beds were very comfortable with firm mattresses and soft sheets. The views were spectacular. The kitchen has just about every appliance you could ever need, sometimes more than one of each. Cabinet space is a little limited as a result, but there’s a lot of counter space to store your food. The dining area has spectacular views and a large table with plenty of seating. The living room has one large couch and a chair. The couch is a super comfy West Elm couch that seats 3-4 people. The only inconvenience we found in the living room is all the plugs are far from the furniture and there’s only 1 side table, but that’s pretty minor. The bathrooms are nice, clean, and have plenty of storage space. The showers are nice, though the drain was a little slow. Access to the beach is great- it’s three blocks away, the beach is beautiful and secluded. The store that’s near by has just about anything you could ever want. The prices are high, but they have everything. We found a coffee infused maple syrup there that’s life changing. We felt very relaxed the whole time. WiFi is strong. I attended a three hour zoom meeting and my sister attended a 2 hour class via zoom with no issues. We stargazed in the hot tub and watched sunsets on the porch. We enjoyed the movies provided. Overall well worth the price. We drove up to Jug Handle Preserve for a spectacular hike and a white sandy beach. We drove to Mendocino and had candy cap mushroom ice cream. It’s a lovely house and a convenient location.

Manchester Lunasky House

The photo in the listing makes the house look nicer than it really was. It was a little run down and who ever does the housekeeping needs to clean the spider webs throughout the house use something to get rid of the ants in the bathroom, master bedroom, and kitchen. There was ripped up chairs in the deck outside. Not sure why because we had no desire to sit on ripped up chairs. The jacuzzi was nice although it was really hard to get in once it was dark. The lights were burned out on the deck and it was pitched dark at night. Also, it stated in the rules of the house not to use the heating system and to use the fireplace. There was no wood to use other than the old branches outside. If the owner wants you to use the fireplace there should be wood for us to use. There was a video spot light outside the front of the house. Not sure why they were recording who was coming and going inside the house but found it inappropriate. You pay a significant amount to stay in the house and we found that we were being watched coming and going. Other then that, we enjoyed our stay.

Great Vacation

The family vacation was great this year at this property. The house was everything we had asked for. It provides an amazing view of the ocean and provides everything you need for a getaway. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Good time

Initially, when we came in we were surprised by the boxes in the entry way, the stains on the couch, dog droppings in the yard, the ripped deck furniture, and ants coming in from the deck. But we washed some throws and used them to cover the couch and cleaned up the ants. There was only a few paper towels left, and we picked some up at the store. We then proceeded to have a lovely time. We rode horses, hung out at the beach, and enjoyed the breathtaking view and the wildlife. Overall, we had a good time.

One after our last vacation enjoyed a beautiful 4 day stay at Luna Sky property. Private beach access and beautiful views. Stormy to start and sunny at the end. Lots of bird life in the area. Spotted a bald eagle having breakfast. An amazing break and terrific family time! We shall return!

Nice getaway

My husband and I and two dogs stayed for a week and we had really nice and peaceful time. Hiked the beach everyday, cozy evenings by the fireplace, beautiful sunsets from the deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals every day. Ace store in Manchester has absolutely everything you may need or forgot to bring. The communication and check in process was super easy. Thank you Miriam!

Great Relaxing Place to Stay

House was really nice, close to beach, quiet relaxing neighborhood, and great views to go along with hot tub. Host was very communicative and answered whatever minimal questions we had because everything was so smooth and straightforward. Definitely recommend this place.

Great break from COVID

This was a beautiful place to stay away from it all but not too far away. We loved the beach and visited it daily, got takeout pizza in Point Arena and ate on the beach, went horseback riding, drove up and down the coast, hiked and enjoyed it all. The house was a perfect place for a break, amazing views, clean hot tub that we used nightly, good TV options, an amazing bush that was full of hummingbirds. Our small dog was comfortable.

Comfy and cozy in a great spot

Beautiful views, comfy home, close to gorgeous beaches, coves, coastal towns and fun experiences. We went horseback riding with Ross Ranch on Irish Beach, took a car safari and fed giraffes at B Bryan Preserve in Pt. Arena, enjoyed a classic bowl of clam chowder in Mendocino and explored trails, beaches and forests. We are so grateful for the chance to get away from the smoke and from being inside for six months. We can’t wait to come back!
